Free. Like MMO game. You trade with virtual money, but the value of the stocks is consistent with (real time?) the real world price.


Hmmm....
I've tried this game last year. I actually ended up with around RM80000, which meant I lost around RM20000 and is worse off than if I hadn't invested the initial RM100000. T.T
To put this into perspective, last year's winner made up till around RM1.5million, right, Xon?

Normally, like it was last (this?) year, Bursa Malaysia would most probably put up an ad in the newspaper. That's how I found out.

Great game. Nothing beats seeing all your money go down the drain....

Funny though, I haven't heard anything in the news about the 2008 challenge. And is it just me, or does the site seems a little.... unupdated? (And is that even a word?)

oops i type the wrong thing i guess, should be year 2009.I registered but also can't do anything like investing there because the challenge is not on so can't play with the virtual money.Please do inform when the 2009 challenge starts.

From my (extremely limited) experience, all the top players use a lot of options. High leverage. Very easy to earn or lose big time. Normal stocks will never do for a short time span (like this game).

hmm then we might as well play high risk high return either you win or you lose big time.That's the strategy of the winner.They either lose the game or win they game.Maybe they did invest in a lot of small stock to gain profit.Just my thinking since i never played this game before

Well, to me, this comment is too subjective.

Let me ask u back one question: Have u ever invest before?

If no, it would be good time to kickstart it through event like this because you will try to understand Malaysia stock market, and also understand how to buy and sell stock.
Ya, this investment workshop is focus on paper asset not other kinds of investment but paper asset may be quite an important investment you will have later in life.

If yes, it is a time to show how good you are in investing stock market. I have many friends with years of experince in stock market investment using fundamental analysis or technical analysis still finding this event interesting. They want to win the competition, do u think u are good enough to accept the challenge?

Well, i dont know whether u have mistaken this game to be stock market game in msn because this simulation game is based on real time Malaysia Market data and not created market data. It is similiar to Bursa Pursuit and you can read on Malaysia market news to play the game.
