Details are not 100% confirmed yet, but I want to gather some youthful people to help out a bit (if not at least let you book your calendars).
DSAI is a passionate speaker. If you have never had a conversation with him before, here's your chance. On January 8, 2008, DSAI will be making a trip to speak in Singapore (for some other ISEAS event, costs hundreds of dollars). But in the evening, we plan to get a common place in town where he can meet especially students and young professionals (for maybe < $10 hehe).
The topic of discussion is also yet to be fixed, but will usually surround the greater issues of the country such as contributions of Malaysians overseas, as well as recent developments such as the hindraf/bersih rallies. Quench your emotional jetlags :)
Will publicize accurate details once it's fixed. If you're a Malaysian stuck in Singapore for December and would like to help me do some ground work, please drop me a mail jiinjoo at gmail. If you're so the very eager, we're having the 1st cut meet up tonight in buona vista.
Otherwise, just mark you calendar (Jan 8, possibly 6-9pm, somewhere in town).
Hope to hear some feedback here too, e.g. how much you willing to pay (for light snack? dinner? no need?) and where would be a good place for a public lecture / discussion.
