Note: Usually the examination examines candidates on STPM(or equivalent) syllabus. So, students with only SPM qualification may go there for experience, then give it another try at second attempt. Scholarships from Indian govt

KUALA LUMPUR: The Indian government has announced a scholarship programme for the children of persons of Indian origin and non-resident Indians.

The Indian High Commission said the scholarships were offered for undergraduate, professional and general courses in India for the academic year 2008-2009.

However, the scholarships do not apply for medicine and medical-related courses.

The scholarship is 75 per cent of the institutional economic cost, which includes tuition and hostel fees and other charges, or US$3,600 (RM11,500), whichever is lesser.

A statement said applicants must sit a common entrance test, which will held at the high commission on May 18.

Application forms are available at the Indian High Commission education section in Jalan Duta here or they can be downloaded from its website at www.indianhighcommission.com.my.

The forms must be sent to The Project Manager (SPDC), Educational Consultants India Limited (Ed. CIL), P&S Division Ed. CIL House-18A, Sector-16-A, Noida-201 301, Uttar Pradesh, India, not later than April 4. -- Bernama

Does anyone know the deadline of the Singapore scholarship offered under Singapore Cooperations Programme? I searched for it at the official website http://www.scp.gov.sg but failed. To anyone who have applied, can you please tell me where to send the form? (Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs or High Comission of Singapore in KL?) I'm so confused.. Thanks!

Last year, I submitted the forms personally at the Singapore High Commission in KL. It's stated in the second point of the application form I think. Why not call the Singapore High Commission to enquire about the deadline?
