Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Dream Big
If there was ever a time to dare, to make a difference, to embark on something worth doing, IT IS NOW. Not for any grand cause, necessarily...but for something that tugs at your heart, something that's your inspiration, something that's your dream.
You owe it to yourself to make your days here count. HAVE FUN. DIG DEEP. STRETCH. DREAM BIG. Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy. There will be good days. And there will be bad days. There will be times when you want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits. Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.
PERSIST. Because with an idea, determination, and the right tools, you can do great things. Let your instincts, your intellect, and your heart, guide you.
TRUST. Believe in the incredible power of the human mind. Of doing something that makes a difference. Of working hard. Of laughing and hoping. Of lazy afternoons. Of lasting friends. Of all the things that will cross your path this year.
The start of something new brings the hope of something great. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE There is only one you. And you will pass this way only once. Do it right.

The Road Not Taken?Robert Frost (1916)
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads onto way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

This is very meaningful piece of info.I would like to share with my
dearest frens and hope u guys can really appreciate the intrinsic
value of this story
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it
had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and
small,shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its
life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to f
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was
that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Obstacles and problems are not there to drain us and deter us.
They are there to make sure we grow stronger and bigger. Having a smooth sailing life is good but it will not prepare us for future hardship and times of adversities. Having an eventful life on the other hard will make sure that we are equipped both emotionally and physically to face any problem or crisis in the face

EASY ....... DIFFICULT
Easy is to get a place in someone's address book.
Difficult is to get a place in someone's heart.
Easy is to judge the mistakes of others
Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes
Easy is to talk without thinking
Difficult is to refrain the tongue
Easy is to hurt someone who loves us.
Difficult is to heal the wound...
Easy is to forgive others
Difficult is to ask for forgiveness
Easy is to set rules.
Difficult is to follow them...
Easy is to dream every night.
Difficult is to fight for a dream...
Easy is to show victory.
Difficult is to assume defeat with dignity...
Easy is to admire a full moon.
Difficult to see the other side...
Easy is to stumble with a stone.
Difficult is to get up...
Easy is to enjoy life every day.
Difficult is to give it real value...
Easy is to promise something to someone.
Difficult is to fulfill that promise...
Easy is to say we love.
Difficult is to show it every day...
Easy is to criticize others.
Difficult is to improve oneself...
Easy is to make mistakes.
Difficult is to learn from them...
Easy is to weep for a lost love.
Difficult is to take care of it so as not to lose it.
Easy is to think about improving.
Difficult is to stop thinking it and put it into action...
Easy is to think bad of others
Difficult is to give them the benefit of the doubt...
Easy is to receive
Difficult is to give
Easy is to read this
Difficult is to follow it
Easy is to keep a friendship with words
Difficult is to keep it with meanings.

Even after all this time,
the sun never says to the earth,

DAYS
I've drifted across the days like a cloud,
Wasted a wealth of hours
Then washed my face in dreams
Before touching on the Infinite Almighty with a prayer.
Other times I've rushed around like a mad thing,
Smashed through the minutes,
Torn up the hours,
Watched Time flit away
And finished with a Bang, not a whimper,
As my head hit the pillow.
But who is to say what is right ?

WISDOM -TEAR DROPS OF MY CRYING HEART
Be very careful!
What you think, you might do.
Be very, very careful!
What you will become.
So think good thoughts, positive thoughts, divine thoughts.
Then do! Then become!
What You do today,
Will determine how you fell
About yourself tomorrow.
If you want a God-Illumined tomorrow.
Then live a luminous life today.
Try to live today
As if you have achieved
Tomorrow's goal.
Be watchful of your thoughts
For they will lay a carpet
Of shattered glasss or
Of rose petals
For you to walk
On your bare feet.
Collect all your "I can'ts" and
Throw them into a garbage can.
Take all you "I wills" and
Place then at the Feet of God's Will
To give your Lord a soulful thrill.
What you think about yourself,
Dictates what you feel about yourself.
What you feel about yourself,
Shows in what you do for yourself, God and humanity.
When you life-battery is running low
Recharge it with new hope, new dreams,
New determination, new inspiration and new aspiration.
Then do something to serve and please God in His own way.
When you feel lifeless and tired,
Do not give in and do not give !
Be like a heroe-warrior and fight
'Till the last drop and the last breath.
Renew yourself with the promise of your Love of God.
Do not undermind yourself!
Do not undermind others!
For we all are sisters and brothers.
Be interdependent in the field of life,
While being totally depend only on God's Will.
Change the course of your life
By changing the course of your thoughts.
Keep alive your God-happiness heart
For it will lead you to the portals of Immortality.
Be very careful!
What you think, you might do.
Be very, very careful!
What do you will become.
So think good thoughts, positive thoughts, divine thoughts.
Then do! Then become!

PUT THE GLASS DOWN
A lecturer was giving a lecture to his student on stress management.
He raised a glass of water and asked the audience, "How heavy do you think this glass of water is?"
The students' answers ranged from 20g to 500gm. "It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long you hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it is Ok.
If I hold it for an hour, I will have an ache in my right arm. If I
hold it for a day, you will have to call an ambulance.
It is the exact same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it
becomes."
"If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on, the burden becoming increasingly heavier."
"What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up again."
We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be
refreshed and are able to carry on.
So before you return home from work tonight, put the burden of work down.
Don't carry it back home. You can pick it up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you are having now on your shoulders, let it down for a moment if you can.
Pick it up again later when you have rested....
Rest and relax.

Championship mindset
#####################
What Does the Coach Expect From His Players?
In our attempt to become champions on the basketball court, we must also learn to be champions in the game of life. Below are the high standards and guidelines that we expect from our players:
* Act like a Champion.
* Excel in the class room. You will either pay the price now, or you'll pay a bigger price later!
* Expect to Win. Doubters don't win. Winners don't doubt.
* Play Hard. Always give your best.
* Play with Enthusiasm. Enthusiasm shows the world that you're excited and have a passion for what you're doing. Get excited and enjoy what you're doing!
* Play Smart. Stay focused and maintain a high level of concentration.
* Never Give Up! People who won't quit, don't.
* Be Coach-able. These are the people you win championships with.
* Act Mentally Tough. Don't panic and break under pressure!
* Always Have a Positive Attitude. I can't stand negative people!
* Don't Make Excuses. Learn to accept responsibility for your actions.
* Be a Leader. Leaders are people who show the way and lead by example.
* Always put the Team First! Selfish and self-centered people can't.
* Work hard in practice. This is the time you earn the right to play for the State Championship.

True Champions Action Steps
############################
1. Make your religion and Its teaching the foundation for your life. Your goal is to live a God-centered balanced life.
2. Act like a Winner. I can't stress enough the importance of handling yourself at all times with class and integrity, especially in the tough times that truly test everyone and usually bring out our worst instincts.
3. Always be positive. Positive people can take on the world.
4. Be committed to hard work. Hard work is not always fun, but it's the price you must pay to be more successful. The harder you work, the tougher it is to surrender.
5. Be nice. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
6. Avoid having to be right all the time. Your goal is to connect with people, not defeat.
7. Be committed to doing things the right way. Remember that perfect practice makes perfect.
8. Smile! In every culture it is the light in your window that tells people there's a caring, sharing individual inside.
9. Learn to stay relaxed and friendly no matter how much tension you're under.
10. Write down your goals and review them often. When you fail to plan, you are planning to fail by default.
11. Focus all your attention and energy on the achievement of your goals.
12. Don't put things off. Get in the habit every day of doing the more unpleasant things first... If you tell someone you're going to do something, then do it.
13. Eliminate the word quit from your vocabulary. If you want to be successful over the long haul, you must be willing to stay the course... People, who won't quit, don't.
14. Learn from your mistakes. There are four things you should do with a mistake: (1) recognize it, (2) admit it, (3) learn from it, (4) forget it.
15. Be able to admit your weaknesses and establish short-term goals to overcome them.
16. Dress and look your best at all times.
17. Respond with a simple, courteous "thank you" when anyone pays you a compliment for any reason.
18. Sit up front in the most prominent rows when you attend class, meetings, etc.
19. Replace the word "can't" with "can," and "try" with "will" in your vocabulary.
20. Be on time. Always try to be at least ten minutes early.
21. Thrive on pressure. The more you prepare the better able you are to handle pressurized situations. Pressure often brings out extraordinary results.
22. Develop a study routine. Discipline yourself to study 1 to 2 hours a night. Your grades/ performance reflect the amount of time you are willing to invest.
23. Stay humble. Respect and recognition comes from personal sacrifice, hard work, and the grace of God.

Response to Gratitude
You are a young child of 6 or 7.
Your mother works hard to look after you and your brother
and buy and cook you food.
In return she asks that you eat the food she has prepared,
and be kind to each other.
One day she hears the smashing of crockery, and running
into the room she finds you screaming at your brother,
throwing plates and food at him.
And what does she do?
Does she refuse ever to feed you again?
Does she throw you out the house?
No - she cries with pain and frustration.
She may well punish you- in order to help me learn better ways -
But still she works, and slaves, and feeds you - why? -
because whatever you do, you cannot stop her loving you.

Response to Gratitude
You am drowning in a river. A passer by pulls you out.
You say ?You saved my life - how can I repay you??
And what does the man say? He does not say:
?Ah well, how much can you afford?
How much would you have earned before you were 65?
Let?s calculate a reasonable fee based on earnings expected ?
of course if you can?t manage the 5%,
I?m afraid I?ll have to throw you back in?-
Of course not - he has saved you -
and that?s that. It is, as they say, non-negotiable -
All that is at issue is how you respond -
whether you walk away and ignore your saviour,
or whether you respond with joy and gratitude
and make this river side baptism
the start of a whole new dimension to your life.

Response to Gratitude
You are hooked on drugs or alcohol and with
the help of a dedicated professional you are
weaned off the dope and you are free of it.
One day this person asks you to give some time to
help others kick the habit ?
This story could go two ways -
( i) Maybe you say No -I?m leaving it all behind me now -
and your therapist says
?OK - it wasn?t a condition of the cure -
we?ll still help you again if you need it?
(ii) Or maybe you say Yes - I?ll help in the work
And then maybe you get a glimmer of what it means to
say that I am free to do as I wish, but that there
is a kind of service which is perfect freedom.
And on our side, what should we do??
Well, we are free to do as we wish aren?t we?
We may choose to drive a hard bargain,
all take no give OR we can choose to
respond in gratitude.
The wise will choose to respond with gratitude.

LOVE is...
- a strong positive emotion of regard and affection;
- any object of warm affection or devotion;
- a beloved person; used as terms of endearment;
- a deep feeling of sexual desire and attraction;
- get pleasure from;
=================================================================================Love Is....
by Debbie Harries
Its the feeling of warmth that bubbles inside
The way we play around outside
The way you move the hair from my eyes
The carefree way we live our lives
It's the tone of your voice, the colour of your skin
The way you trust your voice within
The way you make me feel at ease
When you give me your coat at the slightest breeze
It's all around, in your soul, in the sky
Within the birds that fly so high
Its in the rivers flowing free
But most of all its you and me
=================================================================================My Wants And Needs
by Teri
I want:
A love that's real
and will last forever.
Someone to adore me
and will leave me never.
I want:
Trust and understanding
a little compassion, too.
These wants that I remember
and haven't had since you.
I need:
Someone who'll need me
no matter what all they can do.
To appreciate all the little things
I do out of love for you.
I need:
Strong arms that will hold me
through all the lonely nights.
Arms that won't reach out
to harm me
when things don't go just right.
I want:
The hope to find love again
and the desire for someone new.
A peacefulness within myself
to lighten this lonesome mood.
================================================================================="There was once a tale, it says... whenever someone draw circles in your palm with finger, both of you will love forever and be forever. Treasure that someone who drawn circles on your palm before, even if he/she never express it. You know that, deep within him/her, the room in their heart is reserved just for you."

Loving Can Cost A Lot But -
Loving can cost a lot but not loving always costs more, and those who fear to love often find that want of love is an emptiness that robs the joy from life.
by Merle Shain
----------------------------
How Do I Love Thee
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old grieves, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! -- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
by Elizabeth Browning
----------------------------
To My Dear and Loving Husband
If ever two were one then surely we.
If ever man were loved by wife, then thee;
If ever wife were happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
?...
Then while we live, in love let's so persevere
That when we live no more, we may live ever.
by Anne Bradstreet
----------------------------
Child, Child, Love While You Can
Child, child, love while you can
The voice and the eyes and the soul of a man;
Never fear though it break your heart --
Out of the wound new joy will start;
Only love proudly and gladly and well, Though love be heaven or love be hell.
Child, child, love while you may,
For life is short as a happy day;
Never fear the thing you feel --
Only by love is life made real;
Love, for the deadly sins are seven,
Only through love will you enter heaven.
