hey.. those who got matriks but not going.. don u feel bad and sorry for those who wanted matriks so badly..???? u guys are really wasting other people's chances.. but for those who didn get it, dun wori.. coz once jpa result is out, a large number of those who go matriks will reject matriks because they got jpa.. therefore, matriks will consider those who appealed.. dun worry too much..

haha of cos no.. hehe but most of the chinese students in my skul and other skul didn get into matrix even tho they get more than 9A1 for spm, but the ones whose result werent as beautiful as theirs were accepted into matrix :amazed...
my guez is that the gov want to keep them in form 6 cuz if they send all the them to matrix, the form 6 results mite declined... but then again, jz because u aced ur spm, doesn mean that u will do well in stpm rite???
and jz cuz u didn do well in ur spm, doesn mean that u'l do badly in stpm rite???

university malaya offers this sub.. but i heard this uni only has 4 papers that are recognised.. UTAR however wud be a much better choice as 6 of its papers are recognised (i have no idea wad it means but my fren is interested in this course and thats wad she tole us).. but UTAR is private college :P

Got two local U that offer degree in actuarial science...UKM and UM...I got KM Negeri Sembilan =D....about the things that we need to bring and cant bring we will know all about it when we receive letter from our own collegue...

It's almost impossible to succeed, using far as a reason to ask for transfer, and for previous years, there are very few success in transfering. Anyway, I don't think far is a reason, you should learn to be independent, live in new environment, away from home, those going to matriculation will enter university next year, which means you're no longer a child.

The Mathematics syllabus for all course is the same for the first sem, but it is different for science and account course for the 2nd sem.

it can be right or wrong...right in a way that you can study more bcoz F6 sylabbus are more packed with information and cheaper i guess as you can still stay back at home...and F6 is better recognised...
Wrong in a way that if you do well or not so well in matriculation, you will still get a place in local public uni easily but dont considered thins is a good reason if you're aiming on overseas uni...and matrix sylabbus are much more easier...and if you're planning to do medicine locally, pls make sure you can get 4flat in STPM...

hmmm, right now i am still thinking whether i should appeal or not, bcoz i was rejected also...somehow, F6 seems like a better opt but yet i am still scared of F6, its like the beginning of a nightmare..

-da kk marks ur secondary skul has given u is useless- matrix will recount and get da average between ur secondary skul marks & matrix b4 being qualified 4 uni
-DA MARKS THAT IS GIVEN BY MATRIX IS BASED ONLY ON CERTIFICATES!! - no certs= no points(trophies/medals r useless)
-quite easy 4 a non-bumi 2 get 4.0 bt hard 2 hold a post in kk (nt being racist here- just wrote my senior's opinion so dat u all cn hv a beta understanding of matrix b4 deciding 2 go 4 it anot)

how about the kawad kaki?is kawad kaki consider as uniform unit?
u mean they only consider certs as marks?is there many pertandingan in matri like quiz ,choral speaking or other academic competitions so that we can join and get a cert?

1. Pastikan saudara/saudari telah membuat pembayaran yuran pendaftaran di Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) berdekatan atas
nama PENGARAH KOLEJ MATRIKULASI KEDAH No Akaun 0255029000005624

o Pelajar Sains =: RM220.00
o Pelajar Perakaunan =: RM212.00

i get kmk oso...the waris means ur parents...i think they mean ur parents will not be provided accomodation if they accompany u to kmk during registration day...ur parents have to arrange their own accomodation..
i have not yet receive the letter...what the letter wrote about besides the allowance...

3. Buka Akaun Giro di Bank Simpanan Nasional bagi mereka yang tidak mempunyai akaun tersebut. Bagi pelajar yang telah mempunyai akaun Giro, anda dinasihatkan supaya mengaktifkan semula akaun anda sekiranya tidak aktif.

4. Buat salinan muka hadapan buku akaun GIRO yang jelas menunjukkan nombor akaun simpanan GIRO dan alamat anda.

5. Lengkapkan semua borang-borang penting termasuk Buku Dokumen Pendaftaran 2008/2009 dan Borang Maklumat Pelajar-UDM.

6. Sediakan 2 keping SETEM HASIL, setiap satu bernilai RM10.00 untuk tujuan melengkapkan Borang Perjanjian dan Pembiayaan Pelajar Matrikulasi.

ya, i have read the KMK website in the morning.

actually, there are not much to say. after u have received the letter. one thing u have to do is fill in the forms. there are a lot of forms u have to filled in. and pay your fee. if you don pay the fee, you are not allow to register. on 12 may, you cannot wear jeans, t-shirt. mst wear pakaian sopan and kemas. if you dont wear what they have mentioned, then you are not allow to register as well.

ya. it is oni RM 220. RM 220 included your kad matrix, suai kenal/orientasi, cadar & sarung bantal, koko, insuran, buku jadual statistik, buku panduan amali sains, and yuran muet. i think the setem hasil is used to post 2 form that are sent to kementerian pelajaran msia (perjanjian pengambilan dan penbiayaan pelajar martix) 1 form nid rm10 stamp. there have 2 form so nid 2 stamp.

3 forms are needed to fill.
1. buku pendaftaran (fill all your name, ic)(this required you to have a photostat of birth cert, spm result, sijil berhenti sek, ic, no acc and etc) the salinan are required to cerified(disahkan)
2nd and 3rd form is the perjanjian pengambilan dan penbiayaan pelajar martix. it is sent to the k.p.msia.

i think we nid to bring the clothes. because in the KMK website, it state that after we register, we will take our bag and head to our hostel. i think it would better to wear in formal wear as it state we are not required to wear t-shirt, jeans. my mom told me to wear baju kurung. it is the best. sure can 1.

if u say that studying biology is always link to medicine and pharmacy,i think most ppl especially me will not studying bio as well...rather choose phy..this is because medicine and pharmacy are competetive courses...and as we all noe it is not that easy to become a doctor.

PUTRAJAYA: Mulai tahun ini, pelajar yang diterima memasuki program matrikulasi Kementerian Pelajaran, masih berpeluang mengikuti pengajian asasi sains dan diploma di bawah Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi di 11 institusi pengajian tinggi awam (IPTA).

Program itu meliputi Asasi Sains Universiti Malaya, Asasi Sains Pertanian Universiti Putra Malaysia, Matrikulasi Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia dan diploma di lapan IPTA.

Lapan IPTA itu ialah Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn, Kolej Universiti Sains dan Teknologi Malaysia, Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan dan Teknologi Malaysia, Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia dan Kolej Universiti Islam Malaysia.

Sumber memberitahu Berita Harian, pelajar yang sudah mendapat tawaran matrikulasi masih layak dipertimbangkan bagi mengikuti program pengajian lepasan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) atau setaraf di IPTA terbabit.

Beliau berkata, pertimbangan itu diberi kerana program kompetitif seperti pengajian perubatan, pergigian dan farmasi, dikhaskan untuk pelajar yang mencatat keputusan cemerlang dalam SPM.

?Pelajar tidak perlu bimbang kerana peluang mereka tidak terjejas, walaupun sudah mendapat tawaran matrikulasi,? katanya ketika dihubungi semalam.

Sebelum ini, pelajar yang mendapat tawaran melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat matrikulasi, secara automatik digugurkan dalam senarai pengambilan bagi program asasi sains dan diploma di IPTA terbabit.

Tahun ini, Kementerian Pelajaran menawarkan tempat matrikulasi kepada 27,000 lepasan sekolah yang dijadual mendaftar 15 Mei ini.

Bagaimanapun, sebahagian daripada mereka turut memohon program asasi sains dan diploma Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi dan tertanya-tanya mengenai status permohonan mereka.

Sumber itu menasihatkan pelajar terbabit supaya mendaftar dulu di mana-mana kolej matrikulasi Kementerian Pelajaran dan menarik diri selepas mendapat tawaran program Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi.

Beliau berkata, 11 IPTA terbabit menawarkan 41,000 tempat dan keputusan ke program di bawah Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi dijangka diketahui pada minggu ketiga bulan depan.

hi there. i a senior in 07/08 session. hmmm, from what i noe, they count like tat :

1. in matriculation, 10 marks based on the school's co-cum

2. if can, try joining KAKOM. it is a sort of competition with others matrix college, like inter-college competition in all sort of sports.this make u gain FULL MARKS in yours co-cum without question.

3. they definetly count in PLKN. but im not too sure with those whom didnt being selected.

then, they add on 3 of he above and DIVIDE....

kawad kaki is nt uniform unit. its like if u dun get either sports or club den u will b thrown into kawad kaki cz they hv quota 4 non-bumi 4 all da 3 kk activities.
cert is black n white dat u joned n won da competitions.

If you want to decline the offer, you don't have to come during registration. You can be offerend both Matriks and UPU so don't worry.

b) received sponsorship from government agencies or any certified agencies for

UPU is much better IMO. And another thing, between Diploma and Matrik, the first is more marketable.

i thought Bank Rakyat is difference from BSN??anyway i get the kmk buku panduan and right at the cover front page there stick a yellow note..and the yellow note is actually the correction to the buku panduan's content..
the correction is BSN no longer be used by them, it has changed to Bank Rakyat instead.

in mtrx johor..all the laptops first have to be registered with the administration (hal ehwal plajar)..in case of your latop being stolen...they'll have a record and help u to track down the thieves...plus all your lockers n desks have locks and key will be provided..up to know..they haven't been any reports of ones laptop lost...i bring ma laptop to college and so far so gud..(and hope to be in the future)...

if u don't feel confident...juz go to mtrx first... and c how it goes (most important get to know ur roomates)..when u feel secure enough..only then u bring ur laptop..

if CC..u have to pay..at my college it's RM 2.20 per hour..for me its quite expensive...if u don't want to go the CC i'm sure the library have sets of computers..its free there...but not many of students use it there..because its usually available during class hours..which obviously..we r at class at that time...and some don't even have internet connection..

the semester break is only for 2 weeks (if u r lucky)...
the last time the semester break coincided with MUET..so some of the student's holiday were cut short...some as long as a week..too bad though:laugh..
there's also the mid sem break..it's usually for 1 week...
plus there's also the study leave..

on how far r u from the centre and how many people surf at that time..
but most of the time..to me d connection is quite gud..its just i can't 'connect' more to the comp because of tmy tight schedule...:laugh

1.the lecturer....nt gd(some)

pros are:
1. guarantees to enter local U
2. the exam is easy
3. gt allowance. ur parent do need to gv u $

3pros and 1 cons. Think urself and take a wise decision. :)

but thr is a prob. if the lecturer tell us "ok, nxt test will be until chapter 4" and my chpter 4 is diff with other. then i hav to read all and find the fact that relate to the syllabus of matrix. it takes time =.=

u can always check with the with the topics at the content..find something that it might be closely related to..if not u can always check wit the index at the few last pages of the book..(if there is la)...

in matrix u don't rely on book as much as in ur schooling years...
it will be best if u do ur own notes..just combine the information from a couple of books..and wala! u hv a supernote..by writing the information down..it'll help u to understand more on the topic plus also to help u memorise better..since it's ur own note u won't hv problems if test comes up..ur own note better than any other book...

the rm 10 is actually the maximum amount...if u don't indulge urself with unnecessary things...the money will be enough....with all the free money and hv the cutting edge to enter local U its usually hard to say 'NO'...

Are you sure? I'm sure this shouldn't be the correct statistics... Normally for every college, there will be about 200 non-bumi students, so it won't be that few in the whole country, perhaps what you got is the students who appeal for matriculation... Personally I know there are already 20 non-bumi students who got matriculation, in some schools in my hometown... It shouldn't be that few...

What is da differences between Kolej Matrikulasi Mara and others?

its one of the best matrix colleges in terms of academics...
they don't have 2 year programme intake unlike the rest of matrix colleges..

really??KMPP is the best? u noe what my teacher told me, if get matrix which is in ulu2, is easier to get 4 flat. haha. like KMPP, is quite 'modern', then will be slightly harder. haha i think is not true 1 :P

regestration day no need. but you better bring them along to the college in case you need them, then you wil have them. just bring 570,more functions and better.

When I browse through the website of local uni,
it is stated that if we choose sains hayat in matrix,
we can also apply for various engineering courses.
So, the door of engineering is not closed if we choose sains hayat.
The question is whether we can do well without studying physics in pre-u.
Can someone enlighten me on that?

well clas starts at 8 am..so if u r not the type of person dat takes along time to dress up u cn wait 7.30 am n still be in time..plus if u don't hv class in the morning..u cn always over sleep

not all classes start at 8..some may start at 9..10..even at 12!
so da bathrooms will not be dat crowded...exception for orientation week lar...all hv da same time table..

in term of bumi academic it's the best...if ur comparing with bumi in kolej matrikulasi...

what ur teacher heard is half true half false...
most case of discipline of student is cause by FET UNIKL student...not matrix student...
there is two programme in kolej mara kulim...Foundation Engineering Technology UniKL...
and matriculation programme...almost all matrix student there don't hav discipline problem...
just small problem like fly...smoking...and few other more...

as what i know , students graduate from matriks can only go for local uni..matriculation cert is not qualified for overseas' uni , not even sig uni..

First what foreign universities do you mean here? Most foreign universities do not recognise Malaysian matriculation certs, but there are some exceptions too. There is a small number of foreign universities that recognise matriculation cert.

There are, but I can't recall one now... If you consider MMMC is a foreign college, there it is... Some medical schools in Russia and Indonesia do recognise Malaysia matriculation certs though...

It is stated in the contract that one need to pay back everything if one decided to stop half-way (exception for those who manage to secure government scholarships).

You can just leave the college,b4 u leave , just sign some documents, then forget about the whole things, dont worry much, later they will fine u, if u happen to be jpa scholar(2nd appeal), then u write a letter, give the letter of offer, then u are spared, if not u just need to pay up rm1000.00 only(this is the Money they banked into your accouunt, maybe now they already increased some amount of allowance)In fact u just returned what they ve given to u, not really fine u, so is alrt to leave, not a big deal.I hope i give the right information. May i know why u dont want to continue with Matrics?
