Hey guys, I was just wondering whether if you were given the chance to study in Tarc/Inti...which would you prefer? considering every aspect like study life, lecturers and everything.....
specifically to those seniors who studied in these 2 colleges before, mind sharing your experience?

Well, I'm troubled thinking about which one to choose because I get too much negative and positive opinions......
At first I registered at Inti because I liked that place but suddenly I applied at Tarc as well because of some suggestions and I calculated, I will save 15k if I go Tarc including hostel and stuff ( dont consider living expenses cause I will get the same allowance)
but then suddenly I get a lot of negative comments on Tarc, like relationship between lecturers and students are bad and communications prob.

(I do get comments that in A lvls or any Pre-U for that matter, it doesn't really matter where you study, but it all comes down to yourself, discipline and all...... but another source says lecturers do play a pivotal role cause when you get to your last semester and A2 exams...you really need good lecturers to guide you to ease your path or else a lousy lecturer will do no good and you may be going on the wrong path, not knowing about it and time and efforts are totally wasted......)

So guys...what are your opinions? ^^

(don't curse me or anything if I offended anyone...I'm just a blur dude)

Since you can save up to 15k! Why not TARC? A lot of TARC lecturers are their alumnis..there you go. And I absolutely do not agree with the 'doesn't matter where you study' nonsense.

so you mean the lecturers do play a MAJOR role huh? (and why does it matter that the lecturers are their alumnis?)

Of course lecturers play a MAJOR role! If we can self-study everything, why do we even need them?

These lecturers may lack the exposure and probably will not be that effective in imparting knowledge to you. Their English language proficiency is questionable as well, at least for some of them. "Good Morning Grass" was the first three words my friend hear from her lecturer. Needless to say, she quit A level at TARC and joined another college.

My suggestion for you to opt for TARC revolves primarily on monetary conditions. I apologise for the confusion but if you think you can afford to invest that 15k, then join another college. Please seek more views from people before making your decision.

From what i see.... Taylor's is better... in taylors it is more like a tutorial instead of a lecture... and... waht i think is that the culture in taylors is so much better laa.. depends on u... TAYLOR"S ROCKS!!!!

(I did my A Level in taylor's)

Actually from an ex-Taylorian point of view, I'd advise students not to go there for A Levels. Sunway has better lecturers compared to Taylor's. Most of my friends who went to Taylor's complained about the quality of education they got there as well. My sister is currently studying in Sunway and I myself have personally talked to a couple of the lecturers there and I like them a lot. (This is more of Sunway-Taylor's debate and I don't think it'll be of any use to Sapehexers..)

Can't really say much about INTI and TARC though I have friends studying in both. However, from a personal point of view, there seems to be a more positive environment and dynamics in INTI.

Hey there! :))

Ok, I have recently completed my A-levels in Sunway.

Sunway is a fully fledge campus. It has great main hall, great facilities such as swimming pool, tennis court, basketball courts, badminton courts, a field, and students hostel. You can either choose to stay in a condominium (right outside the college, owned by the university) or an apartment (cheaper than condo, also in the campus itself). Plenty of parking lots are also available, which is great compared to Taylor's.

Quality of education, well, I would say it is debatable. Sunway has great lecturers, classes are conduct in a small group. Lecturers can get to know you better and it is easier for classes to be conducted too.

Taylor's on the other hand, conduct their classes in a relatively large group compared to Sunway. Once I heard that an economic class holds up until 60+ students. Where as Sunway, the most in a class is only up to 40!

What I heard was some of the Taylor's lecturers are better than other colleges (they're being watch by the director every month), and also parents tend to send their children there because of the branding. Taylor's has been in the education industry for so long, therefore, one perceive that they are the best.

Oh ya, in terms of library? Sunway is WAY more better! You should see for yourself, their library is great compared to Taylor's. Taylor's library is located in shop lots! :nuts By the time you reach the library, you probably too tired to study! :P

Foods? well, Taylor's is located in an area with lots of stalls, hawkers and restaurants. No problem. Sunway has great cafeteria (with San Francisco coffee, 1901 Hotdog, etc..) and restaurants just outside the back gate. Medan Selera is also within walking distance. Oh did I tell you Pryamid is just behind the college?

It's all up to you! I think you should give these colleges a visit first, before make your decision. :)) Hope this come in handy!

Oh!! Forgot the most important point!

Sunway has excellent securities! They're security guards are professional! It does makes a lot of difference.

Yeah, i can say everything up here is 100% true.

Our library is takes up 2 storeys. We have a huge collection of books, i find it very helpful, being an A-Level student, all the reference i need is there in the library.

A-Level lecturers here in Sunway are very friendly, they're always concerned with your studies. We constantly have Parents' Day (a bit like school,i know), where lecturers meet the parents to discuss on their children's progress. They're very serious when it comes to academic issues.

The cafe...well,let's just say u'll never run out of decent things to eat. San Francisco Coffee, 1901 Hot Dog..

Plus, we have a much bigger campus area! We always have happening events every weekend, it's hugely helpful to release stress.

In conclusion, i'm having fun here!

Sunway is around 25k
Inti is around 19k
Tarc is around 10k
(for 4 subjects...)

Haha...not from the department of marketing, but an ex-student...

when i was still studying there, tuition fee 18k-19k (3 subjects, plus 1 compulsory) I took arts, so it was at that price (no lab fee, etc)

anyway, do remember that your examination fee costs about 1k-1.5k (depends on the subject you're taking) and you have to pay it twice... for As and A2 exams. I dunno about tarc. :P

what zureen said is right. 20k is a sum of the tuition fee and exam fees.

hurm, all the best sapehexers!!! I believe that when you yourself are good, no matter where you go, you'll do great in studies! You will!

:)) Good luck!

from what i know la... nilai inti is so much better than tarc in terms of the environments and cultures again...

tarc is not bad also.. many of my friends studied there.. but then u really needa have self control la since there are too many ppl... depends on what kinda friends u hhave u will be influenced in different ways...

in terms of the environment... tarc is quite a dangerous place i heard... very high crime rate.. my sis got robbed once there... thats why my dad sent me to taylors instead of there...
