yeah its true that it seems like all the things we learned during those two years r bullshit....all those goody goody DSH text with loads of boombastic words that i bet we will never need them in normal all day conversation ... but still, i think the grammer that we learned IS essential for our conversationing with people....the feeling for a language doesnt develop overnight. we need to really speak in that language to realise how important certain things, ie grammer, eg verb am ende, dativ akkusativ vocab all these nightmares which haunted us ever since we enter intec, are..

in short, we need to learn the basic of a language and thus, have to bare with the seemingly useless process of this if we really harbour the intention of mastering a language..

its just too bad that it has to be german, this horribly difficult language...

Where is the highest concentration of German students? What is the best thing about Germany? If i was to take a tour of Germany, where should i go? what should i see?

Highest concentration is in the south of Germany, namely the state of Baden W?rttemberg.

Best thing bout Germany is the beer and the transportation. Lotsa castles and museums if you're into that sorta thing.

You have to go to Berlin, Hamburg, Konstanz, Munich. And come to Ulm to visit me and the tallest cathedral in the world.

And don't forget the world cup is on in 2006. I'm getting the finals tickets! *rubbing hands with glee*

Hm... I've realised more and more people are starting to learn German...

*sigh*... I'm rather interested in learning Deutsch, but there's just no place near here (Batu Pahat) where I can learn! Argh... I live so out-of-the-way...

I've got German for Dummies and a few 'learning German' books that are in German. Try to watch "Was? Deutsch mit Spa?" every weekday on TVIQ as well... Any suggestions on other ways I can learn German?

Auf Wiedersehen!

luckily i went to sbp and they forced us to learn at least a foreign language but it just twice a week. It's not enough because i personally think it's really tough to learn deutsch and i couldn't help myself to think how lucky the other sbp who had a real germany people to teach them deutsch. :o

bored o not depends on whatb you like to do when you are free...if you like shopping or stuffs like that, then it's boring..but if you like to mix around and take up weekend activities at the community hall there, then it's not boring at all...that's what my lecturer had told me...dono if it's true..but i'll find out in a few months :)
