Hi there. I'll be moving out to private rented accomodation in september and i was wondering if you guys have any tips for making the place feel like home? I'd much prefer to stay home and study but it seems like i have little choice.

I think this will boil down to what you need. Basically, I think the main thing is to make it cosy and have a condusive environment for you. That's the most important aspect, I believe.

personally, i think the location is the most important factor. eg, transportation wise and of coz staying near to shops where u can buy daily stuff is a huge deciding factor.

u are free to decorate ur own house and transform it into the way u like it to be.u can make ur own room as comfy or as messy as u like. but the location, u cant change it. u cant build a tram station or a wal- mart near ur house..

it might help if you arrange the furniture like you do at home or put photos of your family/close ones/friends, etc.....

friends are most important to make you settle down nicely =)
