I m a form five students this year who willl sit for spm soon.Currently,i m applying for matrix online.U noe,i really doubt on how to fill in my parents'salary .To fill in the real one,RM4001 n above or just the lower income,RM3O01 to RM4000.How if they consider the salary part n decide not to choose me? I noe this is kind of stupid since they have alliance wif the income tax but every year, cases have occurred in my school whereby the top students who fill in this range of salary are not chosen while other with lousier results can just get it easily??Do tell me what shud i do.

I applied last year and was given my 1st choice of matriculation centre. For the parents' salary section, i stated more than what you have mentioned. So, I guess the salary portion doesn't really play a monumental role in this application process. Whatever it is, truth is the best way to go :)

Even though honesty is the best policy, somehow from those whom I know got a place in matriculation, most of them filled in the family income below RM1000, which is not the fact. Personally, I think since there are so many applicants, I don't think they really check, or else you won't see parents driving Merz sending their children on registration day...

im sure at least 70% of students whose parents have own businesses cheat..Cheat cheat cheat..cheat your way to an education!!my neighbour back home lives in a bungalow with two bmw's and a CRV and a korean four wheel drive put in an income of less than 1500 for his son's jpa scholarship application....some even put rural addresses..to increase their chances!!

My friend who was applying Matric online had cheated in both extra curricular activities and family income(his dad is a businessman).Guess what?He escaped and was selected. In the letter that congrats him 4 being selected, there is 1 Buku Peraturan & Syarat2(if i m not mistaken),which stated that they will check whether the information in their online application form is true, but he said his previous Matric didn't do so.And among the cheaters he knew, none of them is being fired from Matric. It is ethically wrong of course, but making reasonable cheat do help us sometimes(in fact,it is the flaws in their system that make us have to cheat,to avoid unfairness to ourselves).Especially the address, some of my friends wrote their grandmom's address or whatever in luar bandar,as priority is given to luar bandar student.Anyway, there is no guarantee that we are safe if we cheat!Paradox, indeed!

I guess in that case, it depends on your luck as well. Most of the people I know who obtained a place in matriculation stated their parents' real salary. Of course salary is not the only factor to secure a place in one of the matriculation centres as they also look at your koko.

You may try this. Only in mandarin though. Note that it is not definitive, just a sample survey.
