I haven't receive also. I return my agreement 1 week b4 Hraya but last week when i call JPA, they say the agreement havent arrive their section... take sometime for internal circulation, so the allowance is not in also...i am under PILN. What about you?

Since I'm in local U - UM so I didn't apply for that. Still waiting for the allowance... Guess have to pay it myself first.

I'm one of the applicant who sent the document directly to the JPA office few weeks ago. Until now I still haven't received any allowance as stated.

I'm just wondering will there be any email/sms notice sending to me that tells the funds had been transffered to my bank Islam account? Till date I still haven't paid my 1st semester fees..

I assume you are talking about the Tajaan Tambahan, so.........

I'm studying in form 6 this year, and after confirming the mail, I printed out and sent the letter. Afterwards, my principle called us to fill out some sort of letter.

Which letter did you sent? The first one, or the second one?

Of course, there is still no sign of the money yet...... T.T

Are they sending it by cash or will they ask for your bank a/c or something?

Well, we can't exactly get angry at free money, but isn't this a tad too long, even if we take into account the red tape? Any info, guys?

GOOD NEWS PEOPLE

:))The money is here..yeah that's right..you didn't hear wrongly.
The good folks at JPA had even taken the initiative to open an account for us at Bank Islam and banked in the money..which according to the date was on the 8th Jan 09
now comes the good part..we get..not RM110 or RM660 accumulated since last year..but

RM1980.00 (RM110x18months One Lump Sum)

yes..cold hard cash..free for all..well all of us who are qualified la at least..
how do you go about getting that?

1. Check with your school counselor or authority and see if they received any directive from JPA..my school received it yesterday (14th) and we were informed today.
2. Make a trip to the nearest Bank Islam branch (i live in kuching so i went to the one at jalan kulas near satok) Make sure to bring 2 sets of photocopied IC (i brought 1 only and they kindly did another for me) and of course your original IC.
3. Be prepared to spend around 40mins to fill and sign 5 forms and follow through the instructions, 6-digit PIN and all and ta da..get your atm card (costs you RM8 ><) and go withdraw them all or well just to check your balance.

So go forth my brethren and claimeth what thou deserveth! =)

you can have my word on it..me from st.joseph's school, kuching, sarawak..i even printed the bank statement just so i have concrete prove to convince myself..lol congrats and enjoy =)

Since most of the posters in this thread are Sixth Formers (i think), how are your results? There isn't even one Band Sixer in my school. Terrible!

As for the Tajaan, I haven't got the announcement yet, but (not so) patiently waiting now......

xon xon..i would have expected you to get it same time also if not earlier..haha the thing about this is the money was already credited in on the 5th so you can just pop in bank islam, give them your name and ic and they can help you check if there is an existing account with money inside or not..most probably yes and it doesnt matter whether or not your school is informed..if you catch my drift.

i didnt take it last year..haha band six is pretty tough..most people just miss it by a few marks or so..so ya hope things go well for others who sat for it =)

about the tajaan tambahan JPA,that day i had called the JPA officer,and i was informed that the money for some of us had been credit into our account in bank islam...jpa had open an account for us and what we need to do is go to bank islam and make an ATM card...my advise is,dont wait for JPA to inform u,u can try to call JPA officer and if they have credit in ur money,then u can get ur money already....we will be given rm1972 as rm 8 will be deduced as the payment for the ATM card....

Isn't there some kind of law where we can REFUSE the ATM card? I didn't read of any ATM card costing a ridiculous RM8.

Well, it costed RM8 each for my BSN, Hong Leong, and OCBC ATM cards, so.......

Or maybe you meant that we aren't notified the ATM fees? But who cares? It's RM1972, brother!

RM8 is considered OK.

Last time i paid around RM40 (including ATM card, insurance, service fees etc) for a bank pertanian account for PLKN....lol

Just to inform you guys, I think this is all over Malaysia now.

I'm in Malacca, my counselors did not inform me, but I called the JPA myself, and I got a POSITIVE REPLY.

This might be a repeat, but yeah,

1. For those who got, it'll be a lump sum (RM1980)
2. Go to any Bank Islam branch, bring along your IC.
3. The offer in the letter for your first degree, it's still on. (Paranoid me had to confirm that :))
4. Bring along 2 photocopies of your IC and be prepared to wait (thanks to Khuanoz on this one, I haven't actually gotten to the Bank :))

The waiting part was correct (one whole goddamned hour!), but no photocopies required, at least not for me.

I was just going to Bank Islam to check for my a/c, when the lady at the counter asked whether I was JPA. I said yes, and she gave me a yellow form to fill up, and checked my IC. About 10 mins later, she finished my card for me, and then it's fun times at the ATM! She didn't ask me for anything other than my IC, which she just took for a short while.
