Greenspan has just been reelected by Bush.
Somebody, please explain to me - how on earth is this happening?
I thought the members of the board of governors can only serve one nonrenewable 14-year term?
Not that I am against Greenspan. In fact, I think he is a great economist but he has been at the head of the Fed since Paul Volcker!

the same thing. greenspan controls the monetary policy, so its still about the economy. or at least, whatever happens to the chairman affects the market. =)
but yeay! greenspan is on the way of become the longest serving chairman.
anyway, have you guys read this?

Is it true dat old people get weirder by the time they grow older...it seems to me greenspan has planning to take more fiscal and monetary policies now than in the past....seems like an old age syndrome...ehhehehehe

first off, greenspan has no power over fiscal policy.
second off, what do you mean? I don't see anything weird done by greenspan. if you are referring to the Fed's use of words, that's just politics.
