she?s an artist who cannot be categorise... meaning she crossover so many genre that no one can fit her in any type of music...

at the beginning of her career she in a girl band called the Hot gossip...

after that she become a classical soprano singer.... and a formous musical lead dancer...
her famous songs were Memory in CATS, Don?t cry for me in Argentina in Evita, and Phantom of The Opera...
she?s the original lead singer in CATS....

her famous song is Time to say goodbye... duet with Andrea Becolli

however she sings ?other genre like pop opera, pop, rock, new age as well...

the latest album is Harem.... u can say is more to new age style..

ok that?s enought for the intro.... see u guys in the concert then.. I have bought the first class ticket and can?t wait to see her in action...

here?s one of my favourite songs in her latest album HAREM
the first sentence has been my signature for so long.. hehe

Until The End Of Time

Around the world in eighty days we sailed the seven seas
A thousand nights and one, and forty more in fantasy
The prophecy in destiny was falling
Calling?
Falling
And calling out to me

And will we find our destination
Within a time of resignation
A night of poetry and motion
At 69, until the end of time
If I were God and ruled the World
I'dspin a wheel of dreams
Of waking hours in paradise

And shadows in between
The prophecy in destiny was falling
Calling
Falling
And calling out to me

And will we find our destination
Within a time of resignation
A night of poetry and motion
At 69, until the end of time

Was there a moment in madness
And then a momentary sadness
A night of poetry and motion
All at 69, until the end of time

here?s a song where Sarah sings with 2 languages and 2 voices...
her soprano voice is very powerful here...

It's A Beautiful Day

Unbel di, vedremo
Le varsi un fil di fumo
Sull'e stremo con findelmare
E poi la nave appare

With every new day
Your promises fade away
It's a fine day to see
But the last day for me
It's a beautiful day

the first class ticket is cheap in germany, about 72 euros only.

her most memorable song is time to say goodbye duet with andrea bocceli.

that?s a good question...
why and how come people with high purchasing power get cheaperr tickets and asians got higher ones...

neh.. that?s just the most expensive tickets... hard to compare...

in china the most expensive ticket is 2000 RMB (renminbi)
and in hong kong is 1700RMB

yeah, usually these kinds of concerts (performed by elite artists and foreign artists) are very expensive in malaysia, where only orang kaya can watch.
whereas here, in the US, concert tickets are very affordable. i guess because there are just too many concerts here in the us, selling the tickets with super high price is not worth it.
(there's just so many great concerts here i wish i can go to most of them...josh groban, alanis(looking forward to this, already bought the ticket), ozzfest etc)

sarah brightman concert tickets in the us ranges from 50 dollars to some three digit price.
pavarotti always come to perform at my uni every new year.....but well, i am not his fan...so hehe...tak kisah pun kalau tak tengok.

yo.. here?s some of the malaysian concert review I got from the sarah brightman official forum... enjoy:

Just got back from the concert in KL, and fans around the world are right: It's superb! Sarah is so much better LIVE, in person, than I ever expected! All the wire work must be so difficult, and to be able to sing powerfully (and smile!) at the same time? wow!

Posting on any forum anywhere is a first for me, and I don't want to be a killjoy, but I just have to say my peace. Wonder if Ms. Brightman will read this, and wonder if my post will get quickly censored / moderated?

Anyhow, these are my gripes . I mean sure, I can?t afford those expensive tickets, but for RM$ 160, I did expect much more from the organizers, AEM. I called to book so early, but nothing for the early bird, not even seat numbers (I think I paid too much for free-seating). In fact, on the day of the concert, tickets were going at up to 40% discount. Goes to show that the tickets were too expensive from the start.

We arrived early and joined one of 3 queues at Gallery C, in front of what seemed like 6 entry turnstiles. No ushers to organize people, but we automatically queued. Doors opened a bit late, but amazingly, organizers decided to open only 2 turnstiles, and the queues suddenly evaporated as everyone jostled to get in.

As I said, no seat numbering, so people rushed to secure the best benches (no actual ?seats?). At almost 8 pm, the crowed where I was got up and decided to re-locate to the empty more expensive section? lots more pushing and shoving, and the more timid among us found ourselves lost. No more space in that section and we lost our original seats. I am sure Sarah would not want to be greeted with a huge empty section in front of her, but the poor organization, poor ushering and unprofessional handling of the situation makes me feel that it?s all very unfair for paying customers.

The hall itself is not a particularly suitable venue either. Were we were, I could not see much of the stage, and when Sarah walked up that ramp, played the piano, etc. she was obscured. For the price I paid, surely they could have at least told me it would be an obstructed view?

Went to the toilet, and surprise surprise? it was in total darkness. And there were actually other people in there, silently accepting the fact that, hey, that's the way things work here (or not as the case may be).
I guess the above sounds very critical, and honestly, now that I?ve written it, I don?t think it was that bad. I still had a very good time, really enjoyed the programme and selection of songs (loved the more classical / opera pieces).

Have been a fan since something like 1990 and Phantom, so it?s still a privilege and a joy to catch Sarah Brightman LIVE in Malaysia. Thanks for the fantastic performance, Sarah! Hope you had a good time in our country, come visit again soon!

You're no killjoy, Sarah did her job and was good at it - It's only the atmoshere of the people in your company that killed it. At least you didn't let all that riff-raff ruin Sarah for you.

I went to one of her shows in my area and the venue was simply a disgrace for such a dear lady like Sarah to be performing in. She didn't deserve all those people coming in late, annoying ushers, and finiky guests that ketp getting up and moving about. It was overall a very very very beautiful show by all those on stage especially Sarah. But the venue and it's employees - GAG! (down with the Lakeland Center!)

-MA

Before the concert, i have seen some past concerts' photos, heard some past concerts' comments and known some past concerts' contents. Still, after the concert, i'm totally surprised, amazed and thrilled by it. Words alone are incomparable to the real thing. When i was watching the concert (my first Sarah Brightman live encounter, hence.....), i have this thought. Some singers are artists, some others are performers and the rest, of which Sarah Brightman undisputedly belongs to, are both. Sarah Brightman is not the Angel Of Music, but the Goddess. I shall not comment on the stage, costumes, dancers, songs, perfomance and all. Not that it's a spoiler, but all the audience of past concerts have said it all. By the way, i'm really glad to see Violet and Shweta Shetty at the concert.

I think the stage props were very nicely done and the dancers danced beautifully... but then, who were looking at them? I mean, I couldn't take my eyes off Sarah. She is so beautiful. The stage might as well had been in pitch black save for the spotlight on Sarah and I would've enjoyed the whole concert just as much![/quote]

Bountiful Sarah Brightman

It was a spectacular Arabian night at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur for British pop-classical crossover singer Sarah Brightman?s Harem world tour. JASON CHEAH comes away spellbound.

YOU could almost feel you were in a musical, what with a massive band and string ensemble, costume changes galore, a production set that could equal any London West End stage. It was massive work.

Sarah Brightman?s Kuala Lumpur stop of her Harem world tour provided a certain glamour missing from many recent international concert appearances here.

The magnitude of the production was staggering. Over 85 tonnes of props filled the stage on Sunday night for the biggest production set of the Asian leg of her tour.

You could also feel it was akin to a Royal Court with Brightman as the star court entertainer performing to royalty. (In this case, it was royalty from Malaysia who were among the special guests invited to the concert.)

One thing you cannot deny with this 44-year-old diva, she?s daring enough to push the boundaries of classical, pop, world, ethnic music for the past 26 years of her career ? and she gets away with it.

Her presentation was sweet and not only was she singing to great heights, she was literally singing on great heights at points during the two-and-a-half hour concert.

Performing on a stage shaped like a crescent moon, which opened out via a catwalk to a star-like platform, she even sang from various platforms on top of a raised pillar at some points.

Sitting sweetly on a swing suspended from the ceiling of the stage, standing with wings on another raised pillar platform, or just hanging suspended in the air twirling somersaults ... she dared to try it all.

As for the music, yes, it had everything ? Middle Eastern touches, Bollywood vibes, New Age feel, world folk music, pop, classical and even rock with a classical tinge, and, of course, West End musical.

Songs taken from her latest album Harem provided the highlight of the evening and most of them done with a Middle Eastern and Moroccan touch.

The title track itself, Harem, provided a fitting introduction to the diva herself, as she set the stage, entering in a blaze right on the star-like podium before turning back to the main stage as the curtains rose to reveal a magnificent expanse filled with atmospheric lighting and background sets with back-up dancers in Middle Eastern dance costumes.

Other songs from the album like Beautiful and It?s a Beautiful Day further stamped the Middle Eastern influence in her current musical take.

Much of the rest of the mix of musical styles came in her selection of tracks and songs from many of her previous albums.

Dust in the Wind (from Eden) featured exquisite acoustic solos and accompaniment from her guitarists, while she sang Who Wants To Live Forever (from Time To Say Goodbye) again from a vantage point.

Anytime, Anywhere (from Eden) was even altered at the beginning to inflect a Middle Eastern feel before she switched into her classical and New Age mode for renditions of crowd favourite Nella Fantasia (from Eden), Stranger in Paradise (from Harem), the latter showcasing her vocal versatility on this adaptation of classical music from Borodin, Glazunove and Rimsky Korsakov.

There was more vocal beauty in two more favourites in her vast repertoire with La Luna (from La Luna) and Nessun Dorma (from Eden) bringing goosebumps before a short break.

The second half of the concert featured more of a mix between Middle Eastern ethnic and pop rock.

The ethereal sound of No One Like You (from Time to Say Goodbye) segued immediately into Arabian Nights (Harem) featuring Indian vocalist Shweta Shetty on guest vocals, while The War Is Over (Harem) sublimely combined New Age and Arabic influences with guest vocalist Eli Barak joining in. The latter song even featured Brightman taking to the piano.

In Free (Harem), Brightman even sounded a little like Kate Bush. There was a Moroccan accent to a rendition of What a Wonderful World (Harem).

Fans of musicals in the audience weren?t left out either as Brightman also gave them what they wanted. First with Twisted Everyway before disappearing while the band performed a Phantom of the Opera Suite instrumental interlude, complete with the trademark organ theme from the musical and dancers in leather and black. Brightman reappeared again to sing Little Lotti and Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again.

Of course, a night with Brightman these days cannot end without a rendition of her biggest smash hit worldwide Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro) which she performed to great applause.

Encores were also in order, to which she added a Bollywood spin to The Journey Home (Harem), an A.R. Rahman/Andrew Lloyd Webber collaboration which featured in the West End hit musical Bombay Dreams.

She also turned in a little rock in classical mode with A Question of Honour (Fly) before a standing ovation from the audience.

It was a performance of grand proportions indeed, and Brightman certainly didn?t disappoint the 3,000-crowd who came to watch.

We hope it won?t be long before she decides to make another trip down our side of the globe.
