Hmmm... I have been pondering hard these days. As much as I want to have business as my second major, i'm also interested in Econs. Well, in fact, I'm interested in this 2 fields until i can't make up my mind which i should give up.
Can anyone tell me what's business is all about? I tried reading some Intro to Business books, and they seem to be talking about stuffs that we learnt in SPM commerce.

Guess what would be good will be for you to go to e-learning section of ReCom and have a sample of those courses within Business and Economics.
Courses within economics include macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, public finance, economic of wages and employment, game theory, international monetary theory, international trade theory, economics of regulation, economic development, economics and law, economic decisions under uncertainty etc... basically you assume something, model it, and then analyze it.
Courses within business will be including financial and managerial accounting, financial statement analysis, entrepreneurship, negotiation, marketing, management, organization, finance, investment banking, corporate finance, merger and acquisition, strategy, valuation, corporate governance, e-commerce, securities analysis, branding, etc.... It is more on the practical side. The list for both are not complete, but I guess it will give you kind of impression on which is which.
Guess the main thing is take courses from both and sample. For most universities, Business courses are in Business schools.

you are free to take any course in any school for most universities... However, if you plan to do major, there will be certain requirements... It differs by university. However, feel free to take any course that you have interests in.
