Heard of Gmail by Google? I've got mine. It still under beta testing though.

You get 1000MB of storage! No kidding. Say goodbye to the delete button. In fact, I can't even find the delete button. No popup ads or banners, and most of all it's blindingly quick.

However, for those tin foil hat wearers out there, Google scans through your email to search your keywords and display a text ad to the right of your screen while you read your email. Exactly like Google's Adsense.

haha... the delete button is not there. u can 'send' the unwanted things to the trash box though.

those interested to give it a try. just enter ur email at the column of the bottom of the page http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/about.html

mine i got it from blogger.com. luv the feature of da 'conversation box'... n of course the 1000mb... hehe it's nice to see "you are using 0% of ur mailbox capacity" though i have lotsa mails in there... kekeekekke...

In fact, I think the 1GB, would still be able to be full pretty soon... My Cornell email is 200MB and I am having a tough time keeping on deleting it... currently it is at 97.4% again...have to delete it once every week or every fortnight to 80% or so..

another alternative of course, would be to use Microsoft Outlook... it enables you to download all your mails onto your computer...

it's SO MUCH easier navigating thru ur mails using Outlook... easier to type, organize and find your old emails...

I give it an A+

and, an easier way of downloading virus unexpectedly. and a great contributor to a great mailstorm.

I wonder, do ppl in Germany always get the news late?
Earlier, some person from Germany just found out about "miserable failure" that leads to GWB.

Haha... maybe Outlook does get virus hits... However, my Outlook account is safe bcoz its also my college account...

so folks at the computer dept already screened incoming emails for virus before those mails are sent to my account...

win-win situation for me i say

There are barely any ads visible. Only a text box to your right which shows ads in text. but definitely no graphic banners or popups.

Nah, it's not that we get it late. It's just that i'm slow...

But some movies we get it real late though.

anyway, back to the topic. The spymac mail is great but the webmail interface is not as fast loading as Gmail's. they are also still in beta and are having problems with the webmail. I can't forward mails from a dot.tk domain to the spymac account.

I think the best way is still to register your own domain, a good webhost and set up your own email there - you have as much email space as you want (frankly though, how many people actually uses up 1GB in mails alone??) and any name@<hidden> combo you want!

Of course, gmail is free and that's a huge plus.
