JPA 2008 batch has only 7 TP scholars and 7 of us are all going Aussie. Now im taking SAM in Inti.

my subject combination is rather weird.. eng, math, acc, econs and chem
campuran of science and arts i guess..

yepp.. not sure whether its jpa's or inti's decision..
in fact u may choose to do either chem or specialised math. this is up to ur choice but other subjects will be compulsory.

hey i got australia. going to do sam at inti uc nilai. there are not many who applied for town planning, maybe less than 10. so i guess we will all be placed in the same college. i'm curious anyone got uk?

uhm. so far.. I havent heard of any TP scholar that get UK. All of us got Aussie and Inti uc.

d choice between chem n specialist math... which one r u doing? those taking TP usually do which?

Im doing chem. uhm all my TP mates took chem instead of spec math. but 1 out of 17 QS scholars in my batch took up spec math.

Not really. Depends on how u look at it. If u are good in math of coz spec math would seem more appealing to u :) chem would be more on understanding and memorizing instead of doing lots and lots of practices.

In fact, Inti initially set chem as our compulsory subject. But some of us argued that chem is not related to our future major so they asked for a change to spec math. But at the end most of us stick to the original subject mix. Thats why majority took chem.

yeah, i agree. chem is not that relevant actually. why not physics? btw, ur from science or arts stream in secondary? i'm actually from science stream, never done accountings or econs before. what about the majority TP students? kinda worried that the lecturer starts off babbling about debit and credit and i will have no idea about it.

yepp. We were quite surprised to see the subject mix when we first came here. We tried to ask for a change to physics but din get approved.

I was in science stream in my sec school studies, pure science. Thats why I decided to take up chem. I've done accounting before but not Econs. Econs will be very very interesting. :) Dont worry that much. I love my Econs lecturer. Hes the best and he makes all of us love Econs. Hehe.. hopefully u all will get him as ur lecturer as well. As for accounting, since I took it before I personally think its still okay. Some of my friends who never took accounting did find it very hard to catch up with others initially. But eventually u can handle it well. Inti gives us good lecturers. So dont worry. :)

uhm.. of all TP and QS scholars for 2008 batch, not sure about the actual number but majority took accounting before.

and btw.. I can show statistics.. haha paste the thing I've just posted in another thread.

24 scholars in my class: 7 Town Planning, 17 QS. (All the JPA scholars of these two majors of 2008 )
7 TP: 1 Guy, 6 Girls
17 QS: 6 Guys, 11 Girls
Of all 24 scholars: 1 Spec math, 23 Chem

This is just for reference. :)

If u are taking spec math, u will be in the same class with actuarial science scholars(for only spec math class). Other subjects u will be with ur coursemates.

so if they don't change plans, TP scholars will be placed in the same class as QS scholars, right? anyway, it's interesting to find girls outnumbering boys in TP. haha. i thought it would be the other way round.
