LOL. I got to the second batch. You see 12 March the result release, only 1 or 2 days later all the scholarship offers will be advertised in the newspaper and so you can put in your application before you start your NS training. Me, I was lucky to get a nearby camp so my timetable was 1 week of NS then 1 week interview then another week NS then again interview-I went for 3 interviews- and so yeah.. it's kinda an on-and-off NS camp to me but hey, what can I say? At least I got to lose 10 kg in that camp though it's so. LOL.:laugh

owh...where did u heard this from??? is that information reliable??? anyway me too heard that the marking started on 14 December...days before our SPM was ended... so this year SPM result would quite probably come out earlier than past years... so it's believable... i think... hope it'll come out as soon as possible... can't really wait for the truth to come out... the days just getting bored... duhhh~

A friend was talking to some teachers of ours who mark the papers...so I would say it's quite possible, but even they didn't say it was a sure thing, so we shouldn't get our hopes up - I mean, we should heave a sigh of relief for now. Haha. But anyway yes, the marking was done some time ago, after that they compile the data and key it in and whatnot. So they actually can release it earlier, it's just a matter of when they choose to do so.

Yea, my chinese literature teacher came back to my school already after he finished marking the chinese literature papers. I know the total number of students taking this subject is relatively lower than other main subjects, but i think most papers are done except the last few subjects such as chinese, physics and chemistry. By the way, my teacher went to mark the papers before 14th December. Nonetheless, I doubt the result will be announced in February. :P

February is not likely the actual date, as the first batch of PLKN students haven't finished national service, the reason they release SPM results in the week in between first and second batch, is because it's quite troublesome for them to distribute the results in PLKN camp, so they will only release the result on the particular week, never fail since SPM 2004. (For you information, SPM 2003 students are the first batch to have PLKN, and they received their results in camp)

Haha. Either way I'm not really worried about when it's released - as far as I'm concerned my results were determined back when I did the paper, so when I get it is not the issue. Most people are already enrolled in college somewhere, so the actual results don't carry much importance, unless you're going for a scholarship of course...

If I'm not wrong, you won't be receiving the true copy of your SPM result slip but a duplicated one in NS. I guess they kinda fax over to NS sites.

If your commander is lenient, you may apply to leave the camp for one or two days. :)

Yep, I agree with Nicholas. There's always been a trend in previous years of the results being released within the span of a few days to a week after the first intake of PKLN has been dismissed.

Actually there is no point in guessing and passing all the rumors while nobody knows the actual date. You will get to know when they announce the date officially on news, and you will know very soon when official news comes out, considering the rate of news spreading nowadays. Why worry about it? Yeah that's really true. I don't think school teachers would have done anything wrong in getting this information directly from the JPWP KL. So, i supposed that it is quite reliable and it can be said that 90% of the information now is 11 March 2010. The plkn trainees'd have to receive their result in the camp, and the history of SPM'03 would be repeated next week. Good luck everyone!!! :)

There were some students in my school who obtained 10A+, 11A+ and one scoring 12A+. I guess it's highly possible that there are more. :)

OMG... i got 6A+ 4A(equivalent to 10A1)... slag in BM, BI, Chemistry and Biology... :cry

A+ meant 90 marks above. In the past history, there are 6277 people got straight As in SPM'08, but for SPM'09, there are only 214 students got straight A+. After counting those who got straight As(not included A-)(equivalent to straight A1 in previous years), the number'd suppose to rise tremendously, and not only 214 for sure, it's 7987 students. In my school only, there are 2 students got 10A+ and 30+ students got straight As(A+ and A)(including me), and that was quite well. :)

After counting those who got straight As(not included A-)(equivalent to straight A1 in previous years), the number'd suppose to rise tremendously, and not only 214 for sure, it's 7987 students. In my school only, there are 2 students got 10A+ and 30+ students got straight As(A+ and A)(including me), and that was quite well. :)

I don't think you should appeal for remark. Chinese paper IS hard to get A1 (last time) so I presume it's still hard to get an A+... my friend got 12A+ and one A... A is for Bible Knowledge... I pity him =(

lcci account is not considered as one of the A...that one just wil be used in the application of lcci certification

A+ meant 90 marks above. In the past history, there are 6277 people got straight As in SPM'08, but for SPM'09, there are only 214 students got straight A+. After counting those who got straight As(not included A-)(equivalent to straight A1 in previous years), the number'd suppose to rise tremendously, and not only 214 for sure, it's 7987 students. i think the student will not take bc n est anymore..no 1 gets A+ for these subjects in my school..n the top scorer in msia of my school didnt take both of them.. it's the tactic of the government 2 prove dat less subjects taken is good for us. i think the 15A+ students r mad at her XD

u can still take those subjects. government already stated u can take choose the 10 subject tat will taken in considerate for JPA selection and u can also take BC as an extra subject but it won't be taken into consideration.

My skul has 4 students getting A+. Only. And only two of them are usually top in schools.

Well, i have totally no idea on it. I just opt for 4A+ as usual, for Maths, Add maths, Account and History. The others just a mere A'd be enough for me as this year is the first year that introducing this new grading system. Quite troublesome actually. :(

Yeah, its even worse when the government announced it late last year. We all hardly have time to prepare for the best. Chinese subjects are so hard to score A+!! The format of chinese paper was changed at last minute too. We hardly have chance to do exercise based on the new exam format since there's still no books available. So, I really congratulate those that scored A+ in BC. :)

After all, it's pretty much the ministry who decides how many students can get straight As and the percentage of students who pass and everything.

Something else I'm disappointed with is how people actually managed to get straight A+s. Of course, the papers say that an A+ indicates over 90% for a paper, but that's definitely not true. I mean, I got an A+ for BM...what the heck? I'm happy I did well but that doesn't mean I believe I got a 90. I haven't so much as touched 80 marks in the past two years, so how could I possibly believe I got a 90 now? Heck even the best BM students in my school barely scratch 90 occasionally. My personal prediction was that the average top student in a school would get a handful of A+s...maybe for things like Maths or Add Maths or subjects they have more of a flair for, but instead a lot of the students got mostly A+s.

Yup, I agree with you especially for chinese language subjects. EST is the killing subject in my school. A few of my friends missed straight A+ and straight As because of it.

Yeah...Chinese is of course the usual subject bringing lots of people down. The occasional Moral as well, too. But oddly in my school lots of ppl got As and above for BM, rather unusual as BM is usually also a killing subject. This year lots of people missed out on an A+ in Biology for some reason. And I hear EST is usually a big roadblock as well for lots of people. Lucky my school dropped it. It seems rather useless anyway.

In fact in my opinion it seems more like A+ is equivalent to a slightly higher A1 grade...people are getting A+s in about the same proportion as people getting A1s, that is, for people in the higher percentiles in school, the majority of grades is A+, similar to previous years where the majority was A1s, with the top few getting straights.

We can only deduce when the results are release. Since JPA application is already closed, I think this question is no longer important. It would be better to start preparing for interview, the only thing within your control.
