I have just received the email from the JPA department about the 1MDB grant for SPM 2010 receivers. Please take note if u are one of the recipients and don't miss out this great opportunity. For those who did not made it to the Award Ceremony last year, you are still eligible to get this grant as long as you are on the list. If any of your friends are on this list, please do let them know. I made this thread because I found out that many of the 1MDB recipients don't even know that they receive it. I know because 1MDB doen't call to inform you but only send emails to you (mine ended up in the junk mail).

Here's the email

Bagi pelajar yang telah mendapat tawaran Bantuan Kewangan 1 MDB,berikut adalah perkara-perkara yang saudara/i harus lakukan :

Bayaran semester 1
1) Setelah mendapat tawaran menyambung pengajian ke peringkat ijazah di mana-mana IPTA atau IPTS dalam Negara , sila kemukakan maklumat berikut :-



1) Salinan Kad Pengenalan

2) Salinan Surat Tawaran Bantuan Kewangan 1MDB

3) Salinan Surat Tawaran ke peringkat Ijazah Pertama

4) Keputusan peringkat persediaan

5) Salinan SPM 2010

6) Slip pembukaan akaun bank islam (tertera nombor akaun &cawangan bank)



Dokumen-dokumen tersebut boleh dikemukakan melalui emel ke :-
Bayaran semester 2 dan seterusnya (sehingga tamat pengajian)

Bagi melancarkan proses bayaran bagi setiap semester, sila maklumkan kepada saya secara emel keputusan peperiksaan (merupakan slip keputusan peperiksaan atau surat pengesahan keputusan peperiksaan dari dekan fakulti bagi pelajar yang tidak mempunyai slip keputusan peperiksaan) dan tarikh kemasukan saudara/i bagi setiap semester. Ini kerana pihak 1MDB tidak akan memproses bayaran bagi semester berikutnya jika tiada keputusan peperiksaan. Bagi pelajar yang telah mendapat biasiswa penuh dari mana-mana agensi/biasiswa JPA ,sila maklumkan kepada saya dengan membuat surat rasmi penolakan bantuan kewangan 1MDB. Ini kerana pelajar tidak dibenarkan mendapat lebih dari satu tajaan. Namun demikian, syarat-syarat ini dikecualikan bagi peminjam PTPTN.

Jika pelajar mendapat biasiswa penuh dari mana-mana agensi/biasiswa JPA ,sila maklumkan kepada saya dengan membuat surat rasmi penolakan bantuan kewangan 1MDB. Ini kerana pelajar tidak dibenarkan mendapat lebih dari satu tajaan. Namun demikian, syarat-syarat ini dikecualikan bagi peminjam PTPTN.

2) Tiada had tarikh pelajar melapor diri kerana ia bergantung kepada pelajar itu sendiri.

Last year I made a decision to switch to the Dvorak keyboard, and with perseverance, I was finally able to type on the Dvorak keyboard with a decent WPM (though the WPM improvement isn't significant). The transition was painful and I went on for months by hunt-and-peck before I finally got used to it. But now I'm doubting whether my efforts are worth it. I can never use my friends' computers or public computers (eg: at library) anymore because now I'm typing at a snail's speed on the QWERTY keyboard. Also every time I play games I have to switch back to the QWERTY configuration which is very very troublesome. Imagine the WASD keys scattered; playing shooting games is impossible.

But there is a perk though, no one will ever borrow my laptop since it's impossible for them to type on it. :))
