Brickfields twinning is to the Uni of London (King's College i think). But of course you could do it entirely locally, which is cheap and still good.

Brickfields and ATC are like the local private Law specialists.

I think Brickfields is a great option

ATC doesnt provide twinning programe isit? i noe it has few transfer degree programme s well.
I actuually prefer twinning because u get a secure place into d uni in uk instead of degree transfer, there would be certain requirement rite?

Brickfield will be a good choice for u to do your LLB...but for CLP,i think ATC will be better...based on their achievements for past few years..

LLB stands for Bachelor of Law, it's a compulsory degree programme for students who wan to pursue law.

If you do LLB in Msia Local Universities, you are exempted from CLP, you can straightly read in chambers and practice to be a lawyer.

But if you do LLB in private universities or foreign universities, after finishing LLB you will have to do CLP which stands for Certificate of Legal Practice, it's a professional paper , and pass it before you read in chambers to practice as a lawyer

hi, i'm a form 6 graduate too. and intend to do law as well. i'm opting atc penang because i prefer to study in penang. atc penang and kl is not much difference, is there? and by the way, i heard there are some form 6 graduates who already have went in for a-levels final sem before officiallly starting the law course cause they are afraid of not being able to catch up. well, is there a necessary? i'm quite worried because i came from science background. and seriously, what should i get prepared with before starting the course?

Beside CLP, one can opt for BPTC in the UK, the average passing rate of BPTC is 40%, which is 100% higher than CLP ( passing rate only 20%), and then come back back to do chambering. But the downside is BPTC costs 27k GBP and duration is 1 year in UK, while CLP only costs RM 6k, duration also one year in Malaysia. If want to work in singapore after graduate, better go to the universities that are recognised by singapore. If want to come back to Malaysia, any Universities available in the transfer/twinning programme provided by IPTS will do.

I had visited the open day of MMU and it was said that MMU had already exempted from CLP. It is proved that MMU is the first private college in Malaysia to be exempted from CLP test. From my research,I found that MMU,ATC and Brickfields are among the law school that most people prefer to study at in Malaysia. From what i know, the CLP test is very difficult to pass,so i m wondered should i go to MMU?

If you plan to study at Taylor or HELP please read this first:

    http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/press...to_pursue.html

Graduates from these institutions are not allowed to do CLP I think, best double check
