hi there.... i'm taking A -levels Germany now and going to Germany once i passed all the requirement set by JPA.... wanna ask which engineering would be likely to bloom and have more prospect for the future.... i kinda interested in automotive engineering yet don't really know about it yet.... most of my course mate are interested in mechanical engineering which somehow related with automotive engineering... i thinking of doing mechanical for my degree and automotive for my masters ...

Would really hope to get some brilliant useful opinion by engineers here....

I love to design and inventing and innovating ... kinda stuff and also have fun working with AutoCAD thingy..... maybe is there any other options??

Hi..nice to know that you are interested in engineering too. hmm...one good suggestion was to enter materials engineering but im not sure if Germany Unis has offers for these courses.. Materials Engineers is a hybrid of chemical manufacturing and mechanical too. least to worries about its prospect as demands are always there for materials scinetist to design new stuffs.

well, i'm an engineer now but I have to say that I used to have the idea that I would be able to design airplanes, etc by the time I graduate. When I graduated, I found it to be half true, but my knowledge is kinda outdated. I have the basics but alot of the high tech know-how are in private companies.

Truth is engineering is quite tough, the amount of math & physics one has to understand to truly appreciate a good engineering design requires few years of study. There are programs now that can help you but if you do not understand how it works, it can sometimes limit you. I would suggest in your case to go for the more general engineering courses like mechanical/chemical/electrical engineering because it gives you a broader base of understanding.
