My colleague is an international student and he may be planning to come to UTP with his guardian..

My question is, once he is registered in UTP, will he still be allowed to go in and out of UTP for the first two or three days, to spend a bit of time with his guardian before they leave?

UTP students are free to come and go whenever they like. The gate is open 24 hours. However, if you wish to register or check in or whatever, it will have to be during office hours.

And I reiterate that SIIU will only help you with a list of companies that they have. The initiative to get an internship placement comes solely from the student. You, as a student, can start searching for companies through the list in SIIU, or search elsewhere yourself. The SIIU may do its own searching and then inform students about opportunities, but it is unfair to rely solely on SIIU for everything. You need to show some initiative and that you're proactive.

hi , i am stpm leaver i get 3.25 for average ~ is tat possible for me to utp to get petroleum engineering course? and is tat the requirement for chinese to enter utp is higher?

All you had to do was just browse the UTP website and do a bit of research.

As for the racial requirement (i.e. is the requirement higher for Chinese students), there is no such thing - at least, it's not stated on the website. What happens in the selection process, nobody knows - not even I. But we have to give them the benefit of doubt that they are capable of being indiscriminate.

just finished a levels recently but unable to apply for the september intake cause they need my final results which was not release 2 weeks after the deadline so I'm waiting for the jan intake to open and will be applying for the undergrad course in chem eng..
would like to ask how hard is it to enter utp? I met their academic requirements (but not sure about the muet part cause I didn't take muet, only spm 1119 english)
I'll be applying as a self-funded student.
Are there chances where my application will be accepted? Or are there quotas? cause I know there are students students coming in from foundation as well as scholarship holders... ><
