Yes, I'm a postgrad student. I'm researching on this specific tilt tower: http://www.westerntowers.com/storage...6502.9OZN8.jpg

This tower is subjected to wind effects, and it vibrates. So my research deals with monitoring the vibrations and mitigating them.

However, as the tower has not been delivered to my university yet, we can't monitor the vibrations, but we can already think of ways to mitigate them. As of now, I've read lots of papers and identified various types of dampers that would reduce vibrations, now all I have to do is to put them to a small-scale test.

At the end of the day, I hope to be able to produce at least one paper on this research before I graduate.

I regret not visiting places during my summer break, just because I wanted to wait for my research towers to arrive. They never arrived until a week ago. *groan*
