Yeah I suppose picking the Arts stream would give you a better standing and since you intend to do Law go with the arts stream and get more knowledge from the other arts subjects that will compliment your studies and give you a better edge for your future (ie-Perakaunan etc). In a nutshell yes there is more competition for the Science stream.
Yes you can why not? Even those from Sciences can do Law, it's just that they have comparatively more options should they change their mind. Subject language depends on the subjects, which ones are you talking about? I suppose a Matric student would be in a better position to answer this question. If you pick Perakaunan competition will be less stiff like you said. Are you willing to risk it? Going for Sciences because of your passion and keeping your options open? Or are you going to play safe and embrace new challenges and stick to Law? IMO it would be wiser to pick Perakaunan if you're sure of what you want - Law, or if the options on your list relate to Humanities. You may have a passion for Sciences but you'll need to consider what's best for your future and how to get there.

![]() 1.) It depends on ur result actually..especially getting high grades for those important subjects and a high koko marks would make u to be eligible for an entrance into MOE's matriculation programme. But, in most of my friend's case, they continue the same aliran as what they are in from secondary school. Those who are account-based goes for Aliran Perakaunan and those who are science-based goes for Aliran Sains. All of them got law degree courses in public university. 2.) Of course! You can apply for law in university after that. 3.) What do you mean by art subjects? Is it pengurusan perniagaan and ekonomi?? If it is, then yes. It will be fully taught in Malay. Only mathematics are taught in english if i'm not mistaken. 4.) Both aliran sains and aliran perakaunan enables you to go for law courses in university. To choose which aliran you would want for matriculation, it would depend on your interest. But for one thing you need to know is that, once you are selected for an aliran in matriculation, you are not allowed to change it once you have started studying in matriculation. There is a possibility of you to change from ALiran sains to Aliran Akaun once you have gain entrance in it. But it would be impossible if u would like to change from Aliran Akaun to Aliran Sains. ![]()

What aliran are you in for secondary? You can choose Aliran Sains if you dont favor Aliran Akaun. Btw, there are 3 modules to choose from for Aliran Sains. Module 1 (bio, chem, phy, math), Module 2 (science computer, chem, phy, math) and Module 3 (bio, science computer, chem, phy) Compulsory subjects for matriculations are english, dynamic skills, moral studies and cocuriculum. For english, you will be taking in both sems. Its the same thing for moral studies as well. For dynamic skills and cocuriculum, you will only be taking it once for both sem. If u take it in this sem, next sem u dont. It applies alternately.

Well, if you would prefer to study in English you could consider other options as well
There's A-Levels, SAM, foundation, CPU, IB etc. Since you're taking up PA already do you find it alright in BM? I took PA for SPM and did so in my PreU too, this time in English. I find that both are alright. It's just a matter of getting used to the terms. Otherwise calculation methods, formulas and structures are pretty much identical. So you're going for the Sciences because of your passion? Good. Well look at it this way, you're in a position that many would kill for - Being comfortable for both streams. If things don't turn out the way you want you can always opt for the other.

Erm.. I am not sure about that. But in my matriculation college, no one was turned down by aliran sains. My friends all got what they want. Only there's around 2 cases of students from aliran akaun wanted to change to aliran sains but their request have been rejected. ![]() Just make sure that u score well for ur 5 science subjects in addition to bm and bi as well as good koko marks would probably help u to secure a place.. dont worry.. all the best!
