Lee Chong Wei just misses Olympic gold

I think lots of us want to vent right now. Let's do it here.

But credit to Chong Wei for doing so, SO much better than his 2008 outing. A few mistakes cost him this one, but damn, at least he made it a close match this time around.

the moment when he shed tears .....gahhh. it's so heart breaking.not because he misses the gold medal but i am so touched with his spirits. he did the best. and he only misses 2 points. that's a top top class match.

Lee Chong Wei is beyond a hero for us Malaysians, he is a legend.

U dont need to apologize to us!! u dont owe us anything instead we owe u for upholding malaysia's name in the olympics. Not once but twice in a row for gaining for us a medal in the olympics. We share the sorrow and pain in ur tears Dato' Lee!!! We've never been prouder of u and u have our utmost respect. We want so badly as u to hear the "Negaraku" to be played at the podium. Lin Dan played for the gold but u played for all of us, u played for the nation's pride. Skills get u medals but attitude wins u hearts. Lee Chong Wei, remember the great name as it will be passed down to generations.

ESPN commentator: "LCW is such a great guy, but Lin Dan is abit arrogant. Skills win you medals, but attitude wins heart."

This line is spreading like wild fire, and while it sounds nice and makes you all fuzzy inside, I kind of suspect that someone actually invented this and construed it as a statement from ESPN - it just doesn't sound like something a sports commentator would say, especially a non-Malaysian one.

(Someone called me a miserable man for raising this doubt in Facebook and asking if someone could verify this. lol)
