ReCom Gathering in Singapore

Ok, no one bring it up I'll do it then!

I've been trying to cherish this rather cool ramp up time I'm having in Singapore, before working weekends becomes a norm...

So anyone up for meeting up with random people who's on ReCom?

I'm thinking of either this coming Saturday (24/9, coincide with the now regular KL meetup - i.e. last Saturday of the month) or next Saturday (1/10), somewhere central (orchard, bugis, dbg etc.) so that everyone can come. Lunch Dinner or in between all possible.

Anyone?

sounds great.. hope to meet some recommers in singapore.. better still have the gathering in NUS.. haha... just kidding..

usually i have to go learn erhu every sat from 7pm onwards... lunch or tea might be possible as long as it's not too far.. hehe....

bugis should be ok.. orchard.. mm.. maybe a bit far for me.. I define "far" differently.. =)

Hehe... I had been thinking about a ReCom gathering here too... So obviously I'm interested (onz) to meet up!

Concerning where to eat, have you all been to the newly renovated Marina Square near Suntec? There are lots of restaurants there and the place looks rather happenning... So what say you all? I'll try to rally recommers I know to go...

ok, good that we have 3 now, tentative date is Oct 1.

Seems like most people are still in school, so let's try for western part or CBD (for "happening" places?) I agree on the "not too noisy" part. If we have to we can drag a "long" meeting, from lunch to dinner, as long as we continue to be trapped in a aircond place. The new national library?

Another suggestion is the upstairs open air garden on suntec used to be a great place to hang out after dinner. Haven't been back since.

Come come - choose vote whatever!

drag is great.. but I cannot make it le... Like I said, I got erhu lesson from 7pm onwards.. that means I should be back on campus before 6pm. Lunch is ok...

New national library.. is that in Bugis? I thought I saw the sign somewhere in Bugis, but I have not seen the building.. mm.. Bugis sounds ok.. not too far from NUS...

Ya, it's close to Bugis. I haven't been there myself, so I thought it would be a great way to spend an afternoon in case we run out of topics to chat about ;) hehe

Haha... NTU life is unpredictable too. I have a running event in the morning on that day. Some AIESEC event might pop up too, so I really can't confirm 100% I can go...

The new national library sounds nice... I've been there... It's right beside Bugis Junction lah. It was designed by a Malaysian architecture firm you know; same people who designed Mesiniaga building

I probably can get at least 2 more ppl to join us... Hope I can make it for lunch. If not, how bout tea-time?
