1. taufiq 1/1 (+1 -0 =0)
3. _earth 0/1 (+0 -1 =0)

i played with _earth today and was lucky to win. i'll post shortly the game on other thread and let u guys analyze it. :P

update: taufiq won his 1st round
deRame didn't have the luck like the last time and was beaten badly by taufiq. deRame succumbed to pressure and couldn't even counter-attack at all. a brilliant and superb display from taufiq.
p/s: the game will up in a few minutes.

I have just got a chance to look at the SEA Games' files.
Seriously I would like to know more about your game with Mas, Zingkov. What do you feel during the game? I would have never thought about piling up another pawn on the g file with the king side under attack. That was a very great performance!

Please give some comment on it or maybe an insight view of what you were actually thinking during the match, zingkov.

actually that was one of my favorite game in SEA Games (but of course only up to the moment before the swapping of queens, because after that i played badly).

i cant really remember the game moves, but i know i had a serious problem in the opening due to the 2 obvious weaknesses on e6 and g6. that time i was pretty nervous, as i know Mas was good in squeezing people in this kind of simple position. (He beat me 3 times before). thus, i told myself i must change the style of the game, i MUST try to drag him into some open crazy tactical position where pieces are flying around. (i considered that was my strongest and perhaps only weapon).

thus, when i noticed the plan (which occured in the game), straightaway i opted for it without a second thought. and i saw a lot of attacking prospects in that position, despite the awkward pawn structure (which i never mind having).

upon entering that crazy attacking position, i was indeed pretty convident already. coz i had played quite a number of good games before in that kind of wild attacking position. (i dont know if u can trace those games, but a few games that i loved the most are WZJ vs IM Ramesh R B (Calcutta 2002), GM Popov vs WZJ (Kuala Lumpur 2004), GM Alberto David vs WZJ (Elista Olympiad 1998) etc), WZJ vs GM Wong Meng Kong (Ho Chi Minh 2003), WZJ vs Al Sayed (Calcutta 2002) etc..)

but as usual, after the queens were taken away, i lost my sense of attack. n under the terrible time constraint, i was playing like a beginner, giving away the advantage move by move, till i ended up losing a pawn instead! but then, Mas made the worst blunder in his life (after the game, we all (including himself) thought that there was only 1 word to explain the whole thing, i.e. 'fatigue'.)

but all in all, i enjoyed that game very much. that's all i can recall, if want me to analyze bout the moves in the game, plz paste the position here...thx..
