Most young people can donate their blood. Many people thought it would be very painful; but it's actually not worse than having someone pinch you for one second or two. Most of the pain comes from the moment the syringe enters your skin, after that it's quite painless (though there might be a bit of pain when the needle is removed).

yeap... i had just donated my blood yesterday.. hospital universiti malaya came to my college so i decided to donate... erm... they adviced that if u r 55 kg or below, donate 300 ml. For above 55 kg, 450 ml. I'm 72 kg nw.. so i donated 450 ml and i still feel great!! my friend on the other hand donated 450ml and his body mass is only 57 kg.. after a while he felt tired and dizzy.. so i think it's good to donate but make sure u r erm.. 'fit enough' 1st.. LOL.. so, go out and donate.. not a pain at all! just a slight tickle..

It's very important to keep yourself hydrated, so drink a few cups of water before and after donation, and most people should feel fine.
