Anyone can as long as your university offers it and it is accepted as a prerequisite for your chosen course. I am unsure of the stats though but besides South Australians, SAM is done in countries like Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, UK, USA and even China! I can't say mainly what as we are all pitted against each other but neither the figures nor info are provided in my result pack and I did not look up on it. I'd say Malaysians who do SAM are either targeting Australia to further their education, or the SAM system suits their preference better compared to the other Pre-U options we have here (A-Levels, Canadian Pre-U, Foundation etc) I belong to the latter and took up English, Law, Econs, Accounting and Research.
