Humanitarian Affairs United Kingdom, a London-based non-profit, non-government organisation, will host the 4th University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Manila, Philippines from August 1 to 7, 2013. The Symposium is supported by the United Nations, Department of Economics and Social Affairs. They strongly encourage participation from Government Agencies, NGOs and Universities.

This annual event will see a culmination of 1,000 young individuals from leading Universities and NGOs worldwide to discuss key humanitarian issues. This event will provide leadership development and motivational training to further cultivate the youth to reach their full potential. It will also provide the youth with opportunities to engage in humanitarian service, strengthen their understanding of diverse cultures, network with like-minded leaders from all over the world who share the same passion, and empower them to become outstanding global citizens dedicated to service leadership.

This Leadership Program in Social Change, themed as, Share Moments. Share Life, will have 12 World-Renowned Humanitarians and Motivational Speakers. Other program highlights will include networking sessions, grant-giving opportunities in partnership with UNESCO, dialogues with the guest speakers, and delegates will also be given a chance to contribute to sustainable programs for the marginalized communities in the Philippines through the Learning Journey. The Learning Journey is in collaboration with World Vision Philippines, Habitat for Humanity and other international non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
