I suppose there are just too little information regarding this thread.

I suggest that we jumpstart this SIG by introducing more about the nature, mission, events and etc. of AIESEC and MYC. Can those who have been involved or have anything to share post your opinions here.

P.s : To kpchen, you have such a detailed elaboration about MYC 07 in your blog. Really good to see it.

I am just wondering what is the difference between AIESEC and Rotaract?

From my observation, AIESEC does offer internships whereas the latter one doesn't. Thought, both are promoting good wills and try to make a difference in the world.

Anyone here to clear my doubt?

Hi,

I am a member of AIESEC Malaysia, and I am from one of the AIESEC Malaysia branch, which is AIESEC in UTM =)

To address your inquiries, yes, AIESEC is offering not only international internship opportunities, but also leadership and social development project involvement opportunities for youth.

But I have not been involved in Rotaract, hence unable to tell you all more about that.

For now, AIESEC is only established in universities and colleges, not in secondary schools. So if you are in secondary schools, you might not heard a lot about AIESEC. But, we do always go to schools to conduct educational workshops about HIV AIDS, environmental issues and sometimes entrepreneurship, but not really get into each and every single schools in Malaysia.

There will be activities that youth in secondary schools can join, such as MIRACLE environmental issue conference by AIESEC UPM, or Green Agent Summit (GAS) by AIESEC UTM.

Coming up Green Agent Summit (GAS) 2011 will be on 4th--8th June, during school holiday in UTM Skudai. Check the link to find out more: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=215616957500
