Not bad shuwentao, keep up the good work. Also post some pretty pictures of yourself here? Perhaps with a sun glass to keep things sweet and discreet ?

But we're not politically illiterate. ReCom is apolitical, but definitely not politically illiterate.

It's the same in classical music. There are pieces which are labelled "atonal" - which means that it does not adhere to any sense of key, but that doesn't mean that the piece lacks or completely did away with tonality.

If ReCom is being apolitical, it just means that we don't subscribe to one political agenda and stick to it, but it does not mean that we are politically illiterate. That kind of distinction should be made clear.

And you really need to be more tactful about posting graphics with the PM's wife and other personalities. It's riddled with sarcasm and malicious intent. Personally, I don't approve of such graphics. We know the facts; we don't need people to mix facts with twisted ones.

Take a moment to consider the difference between apolitical and politically illiterate. To be politically illiterate, especially in terms of the definition you just provided in the quote, means to not care for politics, and to ignore the importance of politics.

Have you not noticed how many threads we've started talking about political issues? Have you not noticed the sides we as personal individuals have taken politically? We have all expressed our own opinions on politics, and based on the numerous discussions we've had, it's pretty damn clear that we take an interest in politics. I don't see how the hell a lot of us members on the forum could be considered politically illiterate, thank you very much.

When we say ReCom should be apolitical, it means to NOT TAKE SIDES in politics, not to ignore politics and declare it a useless area of interest.

And there is a huge difference between the forum being apolitical and its members being apolitical. I cannot presume to speak for everyone here, but it's not a stretch at all to say that many of us aren't very apolitical. Many of us definitely have pretty well-defined opinions and positions on politics, though lots of us also take the time to examine both sides as a matter of intellectual discussion.

But we do not extend out personal opinions to represent the forum because the idea behind ReCom is much more than generating discussions between people relating to politics - it's to discuss just about every other issue we may consider, whether it be education, or the economy, or religion, or entertainment, or sports. And the forum itself is supposed to be the neutral, equal ground on which a group of people with differing opinions on everything can take part in the discussion - and that includes political discussions as well.

So if you are making the insinuation I think you are making, take a step back and really think things through.

EDIT: Henry beat me to it. More concise too. Thank you sir.

Anyway, just keep this damn site apolitical ok? Let's just learn to make the right choice. Which choice is it that we'll leave it to our own intellectual and logic abilities alright?

Don't even take notice of how an online stranger judge you. It's not worth your while.

Kedah PAS has gone on the offensive by updating voters on the state government's achievements since 2008, compared with its predecessor, the BN.

In a colourful, high quality four-paged handout distributed to over 1,000 people at the party's 'Munajat dan Himpunan Hijau ke NONEPutrajaya' gathering in Kota Sarang Semut, today Kedah PAS lists 42 policies it has implemented for the people's benefit.

Running parallel to each policy, is a record of what the previous BN state government had not done for the rakyat.

Hhmmm... well yeah they seems clean (no corruption) but for the past five years my hometown (Sungai Petani - The largest city in Kedah) looks like a well served cow dung. Electricity on the main roads got cut off every night at 9pm. Crime is on the rise. Road conditions looked horrible.

If you need any more confirmation that Bersih is no longer as apolitical, just have a look at the posters that have been posted here.
