Hi, I am a STPM leaver. I am still waiting for my result. My results were not so good.In my trial exam, I just got 3.33 only

I think I cant get into IPTA(as 4.0 is a MUST)
I dont have a strong koko too. and MUET is only band 4.

I am searching for an university which is best in studying pharmacy. (only private University that I can apply)

I had a list
1. Taylor
2. IMU
3.UCSI
4.AMIST
5.HICT (I am not sure whether this school is exist)
6.Monash

do anyone can give me a suggestion?

much appreciate .

not long ago... i know someone who got 3.75 and got pharmacy in USM.

1. is $ a factor?
2. are you really really sure you want to study pharmacy? dont be conned into studying a possibly overcrowded field.
3. if money is not a factor, then please understand that best is rather subjective. and i swear no one who studies in one place can tell if it's better or not than the rest. just the quality of where that person is studying

yup.. actually $$ is a factor.. But PTPTN loan cant afford half of the fees..
3.75 can enter USM pharmacy? really?? I cant believe that.. I thought only 4.0 can enter IPTA..

I ask my friend (just graduated frm IMU), but he said IMU is not as well as before..

will pharmacist overcrowded in future??

i think so. just at my school produced 100++ nurses, doctors, medical attendants, pharmacists and others.. each every year. (and i'm one of them ) and there are so many ipta and ipts in malaysia. i think around 30 universities provided health care courses?

i think relatively less universities in malaysia offering pharmacy compared to medicine? obviously talking about degree level only.

i dont really know if pharmacy field is getting crowded but like i said, possible. it's 'popular'. certainly more than just 'common'.

if $ is a factor... then sadly it's not like you can sit down and choose the one you want.

PTPTN can help but bear in mind the consequences of taking a study loan. need to think about having a financial commitment the minute you start work. it's not something everybody knows how to handle.

as I know,if I get PTPTN loan, I just need to pay back rm200-300 (hundred per month). I dont think that I Cannot handle with it. I am not from a rich family that is not equal to I am very poor and I dont know how to handle my financial problem,so I cannot choose any of the UNIVERSITY that I listed above. You seems that look other ppl down. Poor ppl cannot choose their background but can change our own situation by our knowledge.

But Anywhere THANKS for your opinion.

I'm not looking down on others. I'm being realistic here. Because the last i remembered, i'm pretty sure i wasn't quite a realistic student.

if you go down the path of PTPTN, not studying in kl/selangor area can reduce financial burden.

PS: you haven't started working so you may not see it, but for many graduates out there excluding the likes of doctors, oil & gas engineers, etc, having basic salary between 2k and 2.5k, 200~300 per month is quite an amount especially those working in klang valley area. don't know how much pharmacist earn, guessing it's more than the range i mentioned, but i don't intend to ask my friend how much she earns.

Hi,

I think you are really on the right path. Search for more options like education and or postgraduate studies in Malaysia and it will widen your horizon. Good luck.
