Competition for Sciences is not very strong. Basically a GCPA of 3.6 and MUET band 5/6 shouldn't be a problem.

Those taking 5 subjects stands a higher chance even if their GCPA is lower.

MUET is important too ! (in fact it's damn important)

My GCPA is only 3.5

With 3 B+, 1A and 1A-. (5subs should be the main reason I got into NUS)

MUET Band 6. (I guess this is what helped me go into NUS too.)

After i apply NUS ,do i have to apply for ASEAN scholarship again?
In addition to cheanrocks comment, here's something to put those courses into limelight:

Singapore sends their scholars to overseas for most courses. But for medic student more of their scholars are sent to NUS than other places (at least, according to some Singaporeans here in America)

And daydreamer, since when did you become a promoter of Singapore But I do concur with him that going to Singapore will be an eye-opener for lots of us who are comfortable with everything we achieve and have in life.

And I am of the same opinion that NUS weights MUET and 5-subjects heavily...

Actually, I don't think thats the reason. IMO, the cut-off point for entering NUS last year is lower. I scored 3.5 too but I only took 4 subs. 2A 2B. And my MUET was only band 5. So I guess it depends on the decision of the uni itself.

I took 5 subjects, scored 3.75 in STPM (B-for bio and B for phy) and get Band 5 for MUET. I applied for NUS Bsc and hoped to major in biomedical science (life science). How likely can I get it?
