I'm pretty sure ReCom is supposed to be apolitical, as liberal as this forum might appear.

why does it have to be party based? why can't it be based on individuals? just because one party looks better doesn't mean everything that comes out from an MPs mouth should be treated as truth/gold/etc.

we can discuss issues but it doesn't have to be from the stance of parties.

Look here, at one time you post things up about DAP and at another you post videos on what I understand to be Chinese politics. What are you trying to start off here, shuwenteo? Why do you post pictures and videos, and just leave them alone without a proper thesis statement? You leave readers to guess what you intend the post to be.

When you first posted the DAP stuff, you seemed to be trying to convince our readers to support DAP. Then you post other videos and talk about what would happen to us without political power. But you don't connect posting DAP stuff to discussion about political power. Both your posts seem so disjointed.

Without your second post, people would be led to believe that you're trying to get people to support DAP - that DAP is really a party that can bring change (read: ubah), etc. Then after you wrote your second post, I then realised that it's not DAP that you want to discuss but rather it's about an individual's political power, which has nothing to do with DAP in the first place. Thus, I find your first and second posts to be disjointed, or uncorrelated.

My dear shuwenteo (and I'm not being sarcastic here), please don't think that I'm discouraging you from posting stuff about Malaysian issues here. But you're not really doing us a service if you just post graphics and videos without a proper thesis statement on what you want to discuss. And the fact that the topic of this thread itself isn't that descriptive causes everyone to guess what you actually intended to discuss about, and people's guesses are not nearly as close as what you intend to discuss.

It is like having me open a new thread, post up a picture of two bananas, and then put the topic of the thread as "Bananas". And that's it. No further description, no thesis statement whatsoever. How on earth are people going to know what you want to discuss in the first place? At one glance you might think that I'm trying to be funny by indirectly portraying an innuendo or even wanting to discuss about the benefits of bananas, but actually I could intend to discuss about "Bananas in Pyjamas".

Don't post things up just for the sake of posting. And if you do, make sure you tell people what you intend to talk about specifically. I don't think that's asking for too much, is it?

In case anyone here need to know, I just merged all single-post thread started by ShuWenTeo after days of discussion with all ReCom.Org volunteers.

While we (ReCom.Org) do advocate freedom of speech, we don't allow individual(s) with agenda to hijack the forum.

In future, in the event of starting a new thread, if the member continues to start a single-and-open-ended thread, it will be merged to a single post.

Mod note: Shuwenteo, your latest post was removed because it contains unverified accounts of an individual. This forum is a public channel that can be viewed by the public. Posting materials that are not backed by any of the mainstream media about another individual with the intention of putting that individual in a bad light can be considered borderline defamatory. We do not intend to be in any form of trouble with the law just because one of our ReComers has posted such materials.

This is indeed your channel on anything regarding politics, but please remember to refrain from putting up materials that will potentially get others into trouble.

Please be more tactful.

I've moved discussions about abolishing PTPTN to its own thread.

Wait, I'm seriously confused with this thread. All I see is news and there is barely any discussion here. I cn read news from Malaysia Today, Malaysia Insider, etc. The thread's name is ShuWenTeo Political Empire which sounds more like a politician campaigning scheme.

This thread is a compilation of threads by shuwenteo which do not fit under a particular discussion. Prior to this thread there had been a number of threads which only consisted of a photo or a news article with no meaningful discussion. While we advocate free speech and do not practise censorship except in a few circumstances (i.e. violence, pornography etc), we would also want to keep the forum organised and free from thread clutters. Hence we combined all these posts and merged them into a single thread. The "political empire" is just a tongue-in-cheek expression by the admin who created this thread.

Finally, u speak. I nw understand it ws d mods tat giv d name 2 this thread.

I understand ur pain. Thr is a lot of problems tat v need 2 change in malaysia. Evn though, i'm nt at msia, i read frm time 2 time, news related 2 our beloved country frm various news portal like the star, malaysia today, etc. I'm hopin tat the election falls on d month of july or august, so tat i could b bac in msia 2 exercise my right.

I dun say tat i'm inclined 2 BN or PR. I dun look down at supporters at PR. I'm favour of a two party system in order to get the politicians be more afraid of d power of people regardless of our race n religion. Like what i have said in the bersih 3.0 thread, this thread is a place 2 spark intellectual discussion. Posting photos n videos won't simply do. Eloborate a bit what u wan 2 say n thn defend ur stand instead of ignoring us. We are all the same people who wan malaysia 2 be a better country.
